Executive/Personal Assistant - Fluent in Mandarin Full Time, Permanent Location: Los Angeles, California (LAX office & Bel Air residence) Salary: $150,000 – $160,000 + discretionary bonus + full benefits My client, an Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) family office, is seeking an exceptional, Mandarin-speaking Executive / Personal Assistant to support the Principal, a third-generation leader overseeing a diverse portfolio of family businesses across the United States and Asia. This is a fast-paced role within a sophisticated and well-established family office environment. The Principal is deeply involved in executive-level business matters alongside significant personal commitments, requiring a highly capable right hand to ensure seamless coordination across all areas. You will join an established team of experienced assistants based in Los Angeles and internationally, playing a key role in supporting the Principal at the highest level. THE ROLE This is a true EA/PA hybrid position, offering broad exposure across business operations, personal support, financial coordination, and property management. The role requires a proactive, resilient, and highly organized individual who can operate autonomously, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a high-demand environment. You will support the Principal, as well as immediate family members, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across multiple residences, business interests, and personal commitments. WHAT YOU'LL DO Executive & Personal Support • Manage complex, high-volume calendars across multiple time zones, ensuring effective prioritization, • Coordinate seamless domestic and international travel (commercial and private), including detailed itineraries and last-minute changes, • Act as a gatekeeper for the Principal, managing communications and liaising with internal teams, advisors, and external stakeholders, • Oversee administrative workflows including reporting, expense management, and approvals, • Coordinate meetings, events, and engagements, including logistics and on-site support, • Manage ad hoc requests and special projects with discretion and efficiency Household & Lifestyle Management • Oversee the smooth operation of multiple residences in Los Angeles, • Coordinate household staff including chef, driver, and housekeeper, as well as pet-related needs, • Manage personal schedules, appointments, and family logistics for The Principal and family, • Support property maintenance, vendor management, and household procurement Financial, Banking & Investment Support • Assist with banking administration, including account management, documentation, and transactions (wires, ACH, transfers), • Support investment processes including capital calls, subscription documents, and coordination with legal and financial advisors, • Monitor account activity and maintain organized financial records, • Liaise with fund administrators, investment managers, and financial institutions on behalf of The Principal Bookkeeping, Tax & Audit Coordination • Support tax and audit processes through document collection, organization, and deadline tracking, • Coordinate with accountants, auditors, and advisors to ensure compliance and timely filings, • Assist with financial reporting and audit preparation across multiple entities Foundation & Philanthropy • Support the day-to-day operations of private foundations, ensuring compliance with governance and regulatory standards, • Assist with grant processes, documentation, and coordination with advisors Property & Project Management • Oversee maintenance, insurance, and vendor coordination across residential and commercial properties, • Support capital improvements and construction projects, liaising with contractors and suppliers WHO YOU ARE • Fluent in Mandarin / Chinese (essential), • Strong cultural awareness, with an understanding of Chinese family values and etiquette, • Significant experience supporting UHNW individuals, principals, or senior executives, • Proven background in hybrid EA/PA roles across both business and personal support, • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a complex, fast-moving workload, • Financially literate, with exposure to investments, tax processes (e.g. K-1s), and financial documentation, • Proactive, resilient, and able to operate independently, • Collaborative and able to integrate into an established, high-performing team, • Discreet, professional, and experienced in handling confidential matters Additional Information • Based in Los Angeles, with flexibility to work from an office (near LAX) and private residences in Bel Air, • Working alongside a stable, long-standing EA/PA team (average tenure of 4–5 years), • Full benefits package including 401(k) and pension, • Highly varied, hands-on role offering long-term opportunity within a sophisticated family office
