Orion Homes, LLC is looking for a Group Home Manager to manage one of our residential group homes in either our Phoenix, Glendale, or Peoria locations. Our group homes are to help provide direct care to individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a group home setting. This is a full-time, on-call, hourly position. $21.00/hr - $23.00/hr Regular schedule will be Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Job Summary: We are looking for reliable, compassionate caregivers who are ready to make a lasting impact on our residents lives. The right candidate will take pride and play a key role by making a difference for our residents with SMI, TBI, and dual diagnosis. Our Group Home Manager is responsible for the overall management of the group home, by managing and ensuring that programs are implemented properly to meet the individual goals of residents. Our Group Home Managers seek to understand by asking questions and approaching situations from an unbiased perspective to provide support to their staff. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Provide non-medical assistance and companionship to our residents in our group homes, • Ensure residents completed and performed personal care and hygiene assistance, including bathing, toileting, incontinence, dressing and all other ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) as needed, • Oversee overall cleanliness of the home and environment, • Review medical needs of residents, schedule appointments with medical providers, and order medication refills., • Ensure medication procedures are followed, and records are accurate by conducting medication counts and tracking refills, • House manager must accompany residents for PCP, PSY and staffing appointments, • Plan meals and monitor food preparation, ensuring that meals are prepared in accordance with established food standards., • Purchase food and other supplies as needed on a regular basis, save receipts, maintain and reconcile budget and client funds accurately, • Monitor visitations, • Manage individual records and ensure that documentation by staff, such as incident reports, are complete, accurate, and meet guidelines via QuickMar, • Available to be on-call to answer the work phone or arrive at the group home to assist staff with emergency situations., • Maintain compliance with credentials needed for Group Home Manager position including attending in person monthly clinical supervision, • Conduct annual employee performance evaluations and coach and/or issue disciplinary action to staff., • Abide by, enforce, and participate in the implementation and on-going oversight of all policies, procedures, and safety standards and regulations, • Other duties may be assigned as necessary Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Strong Organizational Skills, • Team Player, • Skills in problem identification and resolution, • Understands finance with ability to exhibit ethical and moral behavior, • Excellent time management skills, • Knowledge in HIPPA compliance, • Good communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with a diverse team of residents, co-workers, supervisors, management, and outside collaborators., • Ability to be On-Call and flexible with commuting to all Orion Homes facilities/homes Qualifications: • Two Negative TB Skin Tests, a Negative TB Blood test, or a Positive TB Skin Test with XRAY, • CPI certificate, • First Aid & CPR certification, • Article 9 certification, • High School Diploma/GED or Higher, • Verifiable Certified Caregiver Certification through state of Arizona, • 39 Month Uncertified Motor Vehicle Record with no major violations such as criminal speed, DUI/DWI, at fault accident or suspensions to transport residents, • Must be flexible with work hours Required: • Must be 21 years or older, • Valid Fingerprint Level 1 Clearance Card (must provide on own), • Must possess and maintain a current driver license and a clean driving record in the State of Arizona, • Must pass background checks such as federal, state, APS, CPS and OIG, • Must be able to pass a drug screen, • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance About Orion Homes: Orions 16 licensed residential settings offer safe, comfortable, family-oriented living environments in residential neighborhoods throughout Maricopa County.
