Job DescriptionDescription: Reports to: Assistant Construction Manager Summary: To be considered for this roll, you must either be a licensed Journeyman or a Master Electrician. The Electrical Foreman performs a variety of tasks and assists other craft workers in the construction, maintenance and repair activities on solar PV systems. This is the lead administrator on NES CSG construction sites and fills the leadership position for all crew members during the entire workday. You must have a valid Drivers License and a reliable vehicle. The foreman may delegate some duties to other competent individuals but is ultimately responsible for the following functions: Requirements: Essential Functions: • Understand that safety is your responsibility and first priority., • Lead morning stretch and flex / safety meeting. During this time discuss site hazards and daily safety topics., • Manage and maintain crew level production and productivity standards., • Supervise, schedule, coordinate all personnel installing solar PV systems., • Provide daily reports to Construction Managers on progress and goals using appropriate forms and communication pathways., • Alert CSG managers and Human Resources of any potential personnel conflicts on site., • Plan the workflow of crews on site which can include scheduling with sub-contractors who may also be working on site., • Accurately manage and input employee timecards., • Provide daily reports to the Foreman on progress and goals using appropriate forms and communication pathways., • Administers the inventory, proper use, and maintenance of company issued tools., • Administers the receiving of material shipments to include safe unloading, checking material to Bill of Lading or Invoice, and maintaining paperwork in office., • Follow NES and OSHA safety regulations and provided safety training., • Provide on-the-job training to apprentice electricians., • Ensure quality of workmanship meets or exceeds minimum industry standards., • Arrive punctually to work and diligently perform the duties and tasks assigned., • Open the site in the morning and close the site at end of day or have 1 designated site person to perform this function. This includes:, • Set up daily JHA sheets., • Ensure time is entered into Procore daily, is accurate, and is signed off by all field crew for which the time is entered., • Determine need and send in requests for additional materials, equipment, and personnel. You must be specific and include pictures if possible., • Attend daily/weekly conference call with NES managers and be responsible for a brief review of progress/needs of site., • Technical or professional proficiency to be highly competent in their work, • Problem-solving, • Putting the team first, working well with others, • Relationship building and Intrapersonal skills, • Using Company tools and processes, • Daily Discipline of time management, learning on the fly, and accepting feedback, • Delivers results consistently, • Creates a process for one's own work, • Creates a process for improving the work and incorporating into existing processes, • Process mapping, • Communication skills:, • Written and verbal communication, • Conflict Management Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position?lifts heavy objects, 50lbs or less, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.?The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The position requires the ability to?quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position and may require longer hours and frequent weekend work. Required Education and Experience: • Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician, • High school diploma, • OSHA 30 certification, • Minimum 4 years of experience managing an electrical install crew for solar PV installation, • Driver’s license and clean driving record, • Demonstrated critical thinking, organization and planning, prioritization, and follow up skills, • Demonstrated leadership and supervision skills, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Attention to detail, • Proficiency in Microsoft O365, • Proficiency Procore or similar construction management software, • NABCEP PV Installation Professional certification, • Fall protection training, • Forklift operator experience Signature: ________________________________________________ Date: ___________________________ Name (Printed): ________________________________
