Summary We are seeking a results-driven Area Manager to lead production execution for a defined manufacturing area responsible for complete modular system builds, including electrical, mechanical, piping, insulation (IMP), and paint scopes. The Area Manager owns day-to-day manufacturing operations within their area, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule performance across all trades. This position requires hands-on leadership on the shop floor, coordination with Engineering, Procurement, and Project Mangers, and a relentless focus on driving throughput and accountability in a high-performance manufacturing environment. Essential Functions: Safety Leadership: • Drive a culture of safety through daily engagement, audits, and accountability, • Ensure all team members follow established safety protocols and immediately address unsafe behavior or conditions, • Lead production operations for assigned area to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly build schedules, • Coordinate manpower, materials, and workflow to maintain alignment with project timelines and production targets, • Supervise and develop superintendents, foremen, and production personnel across all trades within the area, • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth, • Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Project Managers to ensure builds meet specification and documentation standards, • Address quality issues immediately and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions, • Serve as primary interface between the plant floor and support functions (Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Project Managers), • Communicate status updates, constraints, and resource needs clearly and proactively, • Monitor key performance indicators including safety incidents, quality defects, on-time delivery, and labor efficiency, • Implement daily management systems and visual performance boards, • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve flow, • Prepares for ISO 9001 and other audits. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed inside and outside with uncontrolled weather conditions. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, 40 or more hours per week. 2nd Shift hours are 3:00pm - 1:30am, Monday - Friday (occasional weekend work required) Travel Limited travel may be required for training or support at other facilities. Required Education and Experience • Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, • Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate production activities across multiple trades, • Strong working knowledge of safety, quality, and production processes, • Ability to interpret schedules, drawings, and work instructions and drive on-time execution, • 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or operations leadership, • Experience in modular, large-assembly, or industrial fabrication environments, • Technical, vocational, or associate degree in a related field (or equivalent experience), • Experience leading cross-functional teams or multi-trade operations Additional Eligibility Qualifications Must have dependable transportation.
