Job Description: We are seeking a highly strategic, relationship-driven, and revenue-obsessed Director of Brand Partnerships (West) to lead Doing Things’ West Coast revenue growth. This senior seller owns some of the company’s most important brand and agency relationships, driving significant net-new business and deepening long-term partnerships across major categories. As a senior leader within the Brand Partnerships team, you will represent Doing Things’ unique editorial voice, IP portfolio, and creator-driven storytelling to brands and agencies across the West Coast. You will lead proactive outreach, pitch high-impact creative solutions, close seven-figure deals, and partner closely with internal teams to deliver high-performing branded content campaigns. You are a hunter and a farmer — equally capable of opening new doors, expanding current accounts, and positioning Doing Things as a must-buy cultural partner for advertisers. You bring deep industry relationships, a strong POV on the digital media landscape, and a clear understanding of how social-first brands win in today’s culture. This role is ideal for a senior seller who is hungry, polished, autonomous, and ready to own a major revenue region. Candidates must be based in California, ideally the Los Angeles area. Responsibilities: • West Coast Revenue Leadership, • Own quarterly and annual revenue targets for the West Coast region, delivering consistent growth, • Develop and execute a territory strategy focused on high-value categories (tech, gaming, QSR, CPG, beauty), • Manage a robust pipeline and drive predictable, disciplined forecasting, • Enterprise Relationship Ownership, • Build, expand, and nurture senior-level relationships across brands, agencies, holding companies, and media teams, • Position Doing Things as a strategic cultural partner — not just a media vendor, • Serve as the primary point of contact for key West Coast accounts, • New Business Development, • Lead proactive outreach and prospecting to unlock new categories and enterprise-level partnerships, • Identify white-space opportunities across Doing Things’ editorial franchises and creator ecosystem, • Pitch innovative, platform-native concepts that solve brand challenges, • Strategic Sales & Pitching, • Collaborate with Client Strategy and Creative leadership to shape strategic responses to RFPs, • Develop and deliver polished, compelling presentations for brand and agency leadership, • Articulate Doing Things’ value proposition, editorial voice, and differentiated offerings clearly, • Deal Structuring & Closing, • Own negotiation strategy, pricing, and partnership structuring, • Close deals that are profitable, feasible, and aligned with long-term business goals, • Partner with Sales Operations and Finance on deal approval and forecasting, • Cross-Functional Partnership, • Work closely with Account Planning to ensure seamless post-sale handoff, • Collaborate with Editorial Pods and Creative to ensure ideas align with brand tone and executional reality, • Partner with Data, Insights, and Operations to strengthen renewals and expansions, • Renewals, Growth & Long-Term Partnership Development, • Identify renewal opportunities early and build multi-cycle partnership strategies, • Grow revenue within existing accounts through upsell and cross-sell opportunities, • Use performance data, insights, and success stories to drive long-term commitment, • Market Leadership & Representation, • Represent Doing Things in the West Coast market at industry events, summits, and conferences, • Maintain a deep understanding of West Coast brand priorities, category shifts, and cultural trends, • Be an internal voice for the region — influencing GTM strategy, vertical plans, and product needs, • Own quarterly and annual revenue targets for the West Coast region, delivering consistent growth, • Develop and execute a territory strategy focused on high-value categories (tech, gaming, QSR, CPG, beauty), • Manage a robust pipeline and drive predictable, disciplined track record of closing six- and seven-figure deals with major brands and agencies, • Deep relationships across the West Coast advertising ecosystem, • Strong command of cultural storytelling, platform behaviors, creator ecosystems, and editorial-first media, • Excellent communicator and presenter with the ability to pitch at the executive level, • Strong negotiation skills and ability to structure complex partnerships, • Highly organized with strong pipeline management and forecasting discipline, • Independent self-starter with the ability to own a major revenue region with limited
