About the Role: The Clean Corps Crew Member plays a vital role in enhancing community well-being by maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming public spaces. This position involves hands-on work to remove litter, manage waste, and support environmental beautification efforts within the community. The role contributes directly to public health and safety by preventing hazards associated with waste accumulation and promoting a positive community image. Crew members collaborate with local organizations and residents to foster a culture of cleanliness and environmental responsibility. Ultimately, this position helps create a healthier, more attractive environment that benefits all community members. Minimum Qualifications: • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods., • Basic understanding of safety procedures related to waste handling and public space maintenance., • Reliable attendance and punctuality., • Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team., • Previous experience in community service, environmental cleanup, or related fields., • Familiarity with local environmental regulations and waste management practices., • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with community members and team members., • Certification in first aid or basic safety training., • Collect and properly dispose of litter and debris in designated public areas., • Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of parks, sidewalks, and other communal spaces., • Operate basic cleaning tools and equipment safely and effectively., • Report any hazards, maintenance needs, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly., • Engage respectfully with community members to promote awareness of cleanliness initiatives. Skills: The Clean Corps Crew Member utilizes physical stamina and attention to detail daily to ensure thorough cleaning and maintenance of public spaces. Effective communication skills are essential for coordinating with team members and engaging with the community to encourage participation in cleanliness efforts. Problem-solving abilities help address unexpected challenges such as hazardous waste or equipment issues promptly and safely. Time management skills ensure that assigned areas are maintained efficiently within scheduled shifts. Additionally, knowledge of safety protocols is applied consistently to protect oneself and others during all cleaning activities. Pay Rate: The starting hourly pay for this role is $15.00. After 90 days of employment, the hourly pay will increase to $17.00.
