As a Data Technician with Paladin Technologies, you will collaboratively review, understand, analyze (for correctness), and implement installation blueprints and plans from Project Managers and Sales Teams to complete installations. GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Install and service cabling infrastructure and devices for Data and Audio Visual and CCTV; includes pre-wiring, installation, termination, labeling, testing and reporting per specifications and drawings., • Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms., • Interact with customers and prospects, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally., • Adhere to Paladin’s Quality and Safety programs., • Complete detailed and accurate documentation, including OHS checks, packing slips, checklists, as-builts, test results., • You may be required to work “night shifts” when needed based on project/service requirements., • Consistently provide high levels of customer service., • Travel and overtime may be requested with this position on an ad hoc basis., • Perform additional duties as required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, • 3 - 5 years of experience in structured cabling installation & servicing., • Experience pulling, terminating and testing cat5/6 and fiber optic cables., • Experience installing other cabling infrastructure (racks, cabinets, etc) ., • Experience installing other low voltage systems (CCTV, access control, AV, wireless, unified communication, nurse call, RTLS)., • Post-secondary education in electrical, telecommunications, electronics, or equivalent is considered an asset., • Flexibility to work in a variety of environments, from construction sites to finished corporate offices., • Comfortable working at heights and must be able to lift upwards of 50 pounds., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail., • Must be bondable and able to pass a background check ., • Strong problem-solving skills.
