Job DescriptionDescription: Perform installation, repairs and preventative maintenance of all food service equipment, by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble., • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and reassembles in perfect working order or replaces equipment., • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections., • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements., • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments., • Repairs or replaces defective parts., • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices., • Lubricates and cleans parts., • Starts devices to test their performance., • Order and receive repair parts, equipment, supplies and tools., • Keeps accurate inventory of parts and equipment., • Be available for repair and disconnect on a 24-hour basis per schedule., • Weekly rotating On Call Emergency Service, • Provide customer orientation and maintenance instruction., • Train sales and service personnel as required., • Communicates professionally with customers regarding equipment repairs and if there will be a service charge., • Invoice customer, collect COD and deposit payment when necessary., • Communicates with Customer Service and records activity in Cadillac Coffee's system on work performed at customer's location, • Fill out service call log each day., • Check all service invoices and departmental paperwork for accuracy and completeness., • Perform customer equipment installation and retail display., • Drives to and from customer locations to install and repair equipment., • Keeps service area, truck and equipment (in possession) neat and orderly., • Fill out appropriate paperwork and contracts on all equipment placed and serviced., • Insures proper maintenance and care of company vehicle., • Have customer sign paperwork at the time of installation on all equipment placed in the field., • Adhere to food safety objectives and work to uphold Cadillac Coffee’s food safety and quality system. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 2 years mechanical and electrical repair experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
