Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 01/04/2026, • Duration: 12 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED! Unit Information: • Medical Oncology with progressive care beds/pediatric patients., • High acuity of PCU and small amount of med surg Schedule: *Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule *First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Second week is 36hrs of on-unit orientation with a preceptor Patient Diagnoses: • Solid Tumor, • Orthopedic Oncology, • B450 monitors Client telemetry system., • Bladder Scanner., • Alaris pumps., • Stryker beds., • Continuous Bladder Irrigation, • PCA Pumps Requirements: • 2 years of oncology experience preferred, but NOT REQUIRED, • Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), ACLS & NIH, • Ratio: 1:4-5 Med Surg Telemetry, • Ratio: 1:3 PCU, • Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity., • Previous travel experience preferred. Skills Required: • Interpretation of dysrhythmias, • Use of rapid response teams, • Feeding tube care and management, • Accessing Ports, • Blood Product Administration, • Central line care/management, • Peripheral Line Care/Management, • PICC line management, • Starting IVs, • Heparin Protocols, • Manage Cardia drips- no titration, • PCA, • Titrate Cardiac drips, • Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, • External CPAP/BIPAP, • High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), • Interpretation of ABGs, • Nasal Cannula, • Tracheostomy Management Skills Preferred: • Management of dysrhythmias, • IV insulin protocols, • Titration of Insulin drips, • Phlebotomy, • Chemotherapy Administration, • Monitoring Chemotherapy, • Wound Care/Wound Vac, • Arterial line management, • Surgical drains, • Non-invasive airway management Benefits: • Competitive salary with auto offer., • Opportunities for professional growth and development., • Flexible scheduling with self-schedule requests., • Comprehensive benefits package.
