Job Description Position Summary The Warehouse Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all transportation, storage, and distribution activities in accordance with company and government policies and regulations. This role oversees warehouse personnel, assigns duties, manages scheduling, and addresses employee relations while monitoring labor productivity and operational efficiency. The Warehouse Manager ensures the safe, accurate, and timely handling of all products while maintaining compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Essential Functions of the Role • Plan, direct, and coordinate transportation, storage, and distribution activities in accordance with company and governmental policies and regulations, • Analyze and coordinate operational needs related to transportation, storage, and distribution, • Plan for the acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources, • Oversee and coordinate transportation and material-moving staff and equipment, • Monitor and maintain appropriate temperature and humidity levels in freight and cold storage areas, • Develop and manage warehouse staffing plans, scheduling, and labor utilization, • Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors and employees, • Ensure compliance with safety, food handling, and regulatory requirements, • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, accuracy, and service levels, • Manage shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes, • Oversee cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and loss prevention, • Collaborate with purchasing, transportation, and customer service teams, • Troubleshoot operational, system, and process issues, • Strong leadership and team management abilities, • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, • High school diploma or GED required, • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business administration, agriculture, or related field preferred, • Minimum of 3–5 years of warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience, with leadership or management experience required, • Experience in produce, food distribution, or cold storage environments strongly preferred, • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to food distribution, • Experience with labor planning, forecasting, and performance management, • Continuous improvement or lean operations experience, • Accountability, • Accuracy and attention to detail, • Assertiveness and decision-making, • Autonomy and business acumen, • Customer focus, • Leadership and team development, • Motivation and persistence, • Problem solving and sound judgment, • Reliability and responsibility, • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and move throughout the workday, • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds EEO Statement Wholesale Produce Supply, LLC provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, status as a covered veteran, or any other category protected under applicable federal, state, and local laws.
