Job Description JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for supervising the janitorial team and overseeing workflow production for efficient productivity and timely completion of duties in assigned areas. Physically perform janitorial tasks, including cleaning/stocking restrooms, emptying trash on property and offices, working in both the outdoors and indoors, and in all weather conditions. Founded in Austin, Texas, the organization serves its homeless neighbors through three core programs: Truck Ministry, Community First! Village, and Community Works. Often referred to as the most talked about neighborhood in Austin, Community First! Village is a 51-acre master planned development that provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for men and women coming out of chronic homelessness. We are now embarking on a new phase of community expansion, adding more than 1400 new neighbors over the next 5-10 years. About the Role The Neighbor Care Afternoon & Weekend Assistant supports the mission of MLF's Neighbor Care team to settle, cultivate, and care for our formerly homeless neighbors at Community First! Village. This role helps create a consistent and welcoming presence in the evenings and on Saturdays by staffing key community spaces like the Living Room, supporting events and volunteer engagement, and assisting with day-to-day communications and coordination. It's a hands-on, relational role that contributes to building a strong sense of community. This is a part-time, non-exempt position averaging around 29 hours per week. The role requires mid-afternoon to evening availability on several weekdays and full-day availability on Saturdays. The specific schedule may vary from week to week and will be coordinated alongside a second part-time assistant to ensure full coverage. Job Description Hospitality Specialist Scope & Purpose The Hospitality Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the mission of Mobile Loaves & Fishes by extending hospitality to every individual who enters our Headquarters building. This position serves as the first point of contact for guests with professionalism, answering phone calls, greeting visitors, and directing them to their appointments. This position will also help steward the Headquarters space by managing office supplies, receiving and distributing mail, submitting maintenance requests, and assisting with various administrative tasks as needed.
