Bosch Building Technologies Integrator Business The regional system integration business called Bosch Building Technologies offers solutions and customized services for building security, energy efficiency, and building automation for commercial buildings and infrastructure projects Bosch started its Integrator Business in North America through the acquisition of Climatec in 2015. Climatec expanded Bosch’s role as a comprehensive supplier of energy, building automation and security solutions. Climatec is recognized in the building industry as an independent single-source integrator of critical building systems including energy services, building automation and security & life safety in the U.S. market. The company provides consulting, planning, implementation and 24/7 remote management. Climatec is active in several market segments and industries including data centers, commercial real estate buildings, and federal, state, and local government. Climatec has operated as an independent entity, maintaining its offices in Arizona, California, Nevada, Texas, New York, and New Jersey. Job Summary: The Vertical Market Business Development Manager – Education is responsible for driving strategic growth for Bosch Building Technologies through focused development of the K-12 and Higher Education markets. This role establishes Bosch as a trusted advisor to school districts, universities, architects, engineers, and construction partners responsible for campus infrastructure and technology modernization. The position develops and executes a vertical market growth strategy that builds long-term customer relationships, influences system specifications, and positions Bosch solutions across integrated security, life safety, and intelligent building technologies. While the initial focus is the Education sector, the role is designed to establish a repeatable vertical market model that can expand into additional strategic industries as success and market presence grow. Responsibilities: • Develop and execute a vertical market growth strategy focused on K-12 school districts and Higher Education institutions., • Build trusted relationships with superintendents, university facilities leaders, campus security teams, and capital planning stakeholders., • Engage architects, engineers, consultants, and construction partners to influence system specifications and technology standards for integrated building technologies., • Identify and develop opportunities tied to bond programs, capital improvement programs, campus modernization initiatives, and new construction projects., • Serve as Bosch’s subject matter expert for the Education market, including procurement processes, funding cycles, and regulatory considerations., • Drive revenue growth through consultative sales of integrated solutions, including: • Physical Security Systems, • Access Control, • Video Surveillance, • Fire & Life Safety Systems, • Intelligent Building and Smart Campus Technologies • Lead the full sales lifecycle, including opportunity identification, qualification, solution development, proposal creation, negotiation, and contract execution., • Develop multi-year account strategies for key education institutions to build long-term partnerships and recurring revenue streams., • Collaborate with engineering, estimating, operations, and project delivery teams to ensure solutions align with customer needs and project requirements., • Represent Bosch Building Technologies at industry events, education conferences, and professional associations to strengthen market presence and brand influence., • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecasting, and opportunity management using Bosch sales management and CRM tools., • Support the expansion of Bosch’s vertical market strategy by helping translate successful approaches within Education to additional industry sectors. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience., • 5+ years of business development or strategic sales experience within building technologies, security systems, building automation, or related industries., • Demonstrated experience selling solutions into K-12 school districts or Higher Education institutions., • Strong understanding of the construction ecosystem, including owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, and electrical contractors., • Proven ability to develop new markets through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship development., • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder solution sales cycles., • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage executive decision makers., • Ability to travel locally to customer sites, campuses, and industry events. Preferred Qualifications: • Prior experience supporting education bond programs, campus modernization initiatives, or capital improvement programs., • Experience with enterprise security platforms such as: • Lenel, • Genetec, • Software House, • Milestone, • Similar enterprise security platforms • Active involvement in industry organizations such as: • ASBO, • APPA, • IFMA, • ASIS, • AIA, • Other education or construction industry associations • Experience building or scaling a vertical market sales strategy., • Knowledge of integrated smart campus technologies, including security, life safety, and building automation systems.
