Job DescriptionSalary: Job Summary A private family is seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable Personal Assistant to provide administrative and in-home support. This role supports a husband and wife, with a strong emphasis on building trust, improving communication, and assisting with paperwork, bills, and organizational tasks. The husband struggles with aphasia and dementia. This is a relationship-centered position that requires emotional intelligence, consistency, and a calm, respectful approach. The ideal candidate understands that trust and patience are just as important as productivity. Key Responsibilities Initial Support (Wife-Focused): • Assist with various personal projects, office support, travel arrangements and paperwork, • Organize documents, records, rental property and household paperwork, • Provide general administrative assistance and task follow-up, • Gradually build rapport and establish trust with him, • Learn and adapt to his communication style and needs, • Assist with bills, paperwork, and organizational tasks while respecting his desire for independence, • Support him in completing tasks himself when possible, offering guidance rather than taking over, • Exceptional patience, empathy, and emotional intelligence, • Strong listening and communication skills, • Ability to remain calm and supportive in emotionally sensitive situations, • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, • Experience working with individuals affected by aphasia and/or dementia, • Background in personal assistance, caregiving, senior support, or administrative roles, • Approximately3 days per week, • 12:00 PM 5:00 PM, • In-home support, • Collaborative and relationship-focused, • Competitive hourly rate, based on experience This role is ideal for someone who values connection, patience, and consistency, and who finds fulfillment in supporting individuals through trust-based relationships rather than task completion alone. There is a possibility of international travel assistance in the future. The family lives 10 minutes up Boulder Canyon, so reliable transportation is a must.
