Produce production parts to required tolerances and complete machine set-ups to the established and documented average set-up time on all resources in the turning department. Provide troubleshooting and set-up assistance to other team members. Apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures./ppWork Environment: Onsite: Plymouth, MN/ppWork Schedule: Monday Thursday, 2:30pm 1:00am/ppPay Range: $30.00/hr minimum to $35.00/hr maximum (and a 10% shift premium for 2nd shift employees)./ppWithin this range, individual pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements. Base pay information is aligned with market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable./ph2Key Responsibilities/h2ulliFollow directions and produce required quantity of parts on the job traveler./liliSet-up and produce parts within required tolerances./liliTroubleshoot and correct alarms and non-conforming measurements./liliProvide troubleshooting and set-up assistance./liliPull and return tools per job instructions./liliFollow quality assurance instructions, measure and record inspections, and process non-conformances that are discovered./liliResponsible for keeping work area in neat condition and following 5S./liliFollow all safety rules regarding machine operations and proper guarding./liliPerform secondary operations when time is allowed between machine runs./liliMaintain various reports, such as job travelers, inspections, downtime, and job follow-up./liliFollow all policies and procedures per the Policy Manual, Quality Management System, ISO 9001, Quality Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, and Safety Program./liliAssist with machine maintenance and repairs./liliAssist with training of equipment and work procedures for new employees, and continuous training for all other turning employees./liliSupport Shop with improvement activities and projects./liliPerform other Shop duties as assigned./li/ulh2Critical Competencies For Success/h2p 5+ years experience with setting up and operating 2-5 axis CNC Swiss Turning machines and bar feeders is required./pp Experience with Stars, Fanuc controls, LNS bar feeders, and IEMCA bar feeders are a plus./pp Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work instructions and prepare production reports./pp Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines, and visually inspect parts produced./pp Sufficient manual dexterity to operate machines properly./pp Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending./pp Physical strength sufficient to lift and carry 30 pounds./pp Mathematical knowledge including addition, subtraction, and multiplication./pp Knowledge and ability to use inspection equipment such as calipers, dial indicators, micrometers, thread gages, and video inspection systems./pp Advanced blueprint comprehension./pp Ability to identify and understand common tooling used when performing machining operations./pp High School Diploma or GED./pp College/trade school machining diploma desired./ppstrongWhat IMI Can Offer You/strong/ppAt IMI, one of our top priorities is to create an inclusive culture of health.
