POSITION OVERVIEW minnow is seeking an entrepreneurial, service-driven store manager to lead our flagship King Street retail store in Charleston, SC. this individual will serve as both a brand ambassador and business leader, responsible for cultivating an exceptional customer experience, driving store performance, and building a high-performing team culture rooted in hospitality, operational excellence, and personalized service. the ideal candidate is a dynamic retail leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads with optimism and accountability, and is passionate about developing people. this role requires a strong operator with an elevated aesthetic, sharp business acumen, and the ability to inspire both customers and team members through thoughtful leadership and authentic connection to the minnow brand. the store manager will partner closely with the corporate team to execute strategic initiatives, drive profitable growth, and ensure the flagship store consistently reflects the minnow experience at the highest level. a key priority for this hire is deep operational expertise and visual merchandising proficiency — including the ability to own the floor confidently as the primary point of contact when the store manager is off-site. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES leadership & team development • lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing retail team through consistent coaching, feedback, and mentorship, • recruit, hire, onboard, and retain top talent aligned with the minnow brand and culture, • create and execute a robust training and development program focused on selling behaviors, customer experience, operational excellence, and brand storytelling, • foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team environment that motivates employees to achieve individual and store goals, • lead by example on the sales floor with energy, professionalism, and a customer-first mindset, • establish clear expectations and fairly delegate responsibilities across the team, • partner with leadership to identify growth opportunities and succession planning within the store team sales & client experience • deliver an elevated and personalized customer experience that reflects the minnow lifestyle and values, • build lasting customer relationships through thoughtful clienteling and the development of a best-in-class VIC (Very Important Customer) program, • drive business growth through strong sales leadership, local community engagement, in-store events and try-on activations, social media presence, and brand partnerships that increase foot traffic and store visibility, • analyze business trends and KPIs to identify opportunities and implement strategies to drive sales and profitability, • maintain deep product knowledge across all categories to confidently style and serve the entire family, • ensure the team consistently delivers exceptional service and exceeds customer expectations flagship store operations • oversee all aspects of daily flagship store operations, ensuring efficiency, organization, and profitability, • maintain impeccable visual merchandising standards and ensure the store environment reflects the elevated minnow aesthetic, • manage inventory processes including receiving, replenishment, transfers, and stock organization, • manage backstock organization and collection flip logistics, including staging areas and pre-launch prep, to minimize disruption to the customer experience, • leverage inventory reporting tools to monitor sell-through rates and stock levels daily, proactively flagging reorder needs and floor inventory gaps to the corporate team, • ensure operational excellence across opening/closing procedures, cash handling, payroll management, scheduling, and supply oversight, • partner with corporate teams to ensure product assortment, merchandising, and inventory levels support business goals, • identify opportunities to improve operational processes while maintaining a seamless customer experience, • protect company assets and minimize loss through strong operational controls and procedures communication & brand partnership • serve as the primary leader and ambassador for the minnow flagship store within the Charleston community, • communicate effectively and professionally with customers, team members, and cross-functional partners, • collaborate closely with the corporate team on merchandising, marketing initiatives, events, and business strategy, • respond promptly to internal and external communication with professionalism and urgency, • uphold and embody the minnow brand values in all interactions and decision-making CANIDATE PROFILE • 5+ years of retail experience, including leadership or management experience in a customer-focused environment, • passion for luxury, lifestyle, hospitality, and/or family-focused brands, • proven ability to lead teams, drive sales, and grow a business, • strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, • entrepreneurial mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, • experience with Shopify and retail POS systems preferred, • hands-on visual merchandising experience with the ability to execute and maintain display standards independently, • comfort using data and reporting tools to track inventory, sell-through, and sales performance; ability to translate insights into actionable reorder and floor decisions, • ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment, • flexible schedule availability including weekends, holidays, and special events, • physical ability to lift, carry, and move up to 40 lbs, including fixtures and product BENEFITS • competitive compensation plus commission opportunity, • medical, dental, and vision insurance, • generous employee discount and complimentary product, • opportunity to grow with a fast-growing lifestyle brand, • collaborative and entrepreneurial company culture HOW TO APPLY apply directly on linkedin or send your resume to jobs@shopminnow.com
