Job DescriptionHospital Housekeeper / EVS Technician Location: Downtown San Antonio, TX (On‑site Hospital) Pay: $15.10/hour Job Type: Full‑Time | Contract‑to‑Hire Job Overview We are hiring Hospital Housekeepers (EVS Technicians) to support a major hospital in downtown San Antonio. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This is a stable, long‑term opportunity in a hospital setting that operates 24/7, offering consistent hours, overtime availability, and strong growth potential. Key Responsibilities • Clean and sanitize patient rooms, including discharge rooms, • Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces, • Wipe down surfaces, sweep, mop, and remove trash and soiled linens, • Follow strict sanitation, infection control, and safety standards, • Work efficiently in a fast‑paced medical environment, • Use cleaning equipment and supplies properly, • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisorsAvailable Shifts, • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, • 1+ year of housekeeping or janitorial experience, • Hospital or hotel cleaning experience preferred, • Comfortable working in a medical environment (including exposure to blood and trauma), • Ability to lift, push, or pull 50–75 lbs, • Ability to stand and walk for 6–8 hours per shift, • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic, • Must be comfortable with a background check, drug screening, and medical clearanceTraining & Expectations, • First 2 weeks will include paid training and shadowing with a supervisor, • You’ll learn hospital cleaning procedures and assigned areas, • Once trained, you’ll manage your own cart and cleaning zone, • Performance expectations:, • 15–20 minutes per patient room, • 30–45 minutes per discharge room, • Must consistently meet hospital cleanliness and safety standardsWhy Work With Us?, • Hospitals never close — steady hours year‑round, • Overtime available (employees can request OT), • Contract‑to‑hire opportunity, • Strong benefits package once hired on permanently:, • Medical, dental & vision, • 401(k), • Life & disability insurance, • Paid time off, • Career growth potential — many EVS supervisors and managers started in this roleBenefits During Contract, • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, • 401(k) options, • Life insurance and disability coverage, • Employee Assistance Program Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
