These elements are: • Dependability, • Integrity, • Personability, • Transparency Summary: Vighter is recruiting a dedicated Human Resources Manager (HRM) to provide operational and regulatory oversight for all facets of Human Resources within the company. The HR Manager will lead the human resources section as they hire, onboard, promote, retain and terminate employees across the entire employee lifecycle, designated to work on government contracts ongoing throughout the United States. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing HR policies, programs, and strategies that align with the organization's goals, compliance requirements, and culture. The HR Manager is instrumental in overseeing employee relations, performance management, training, compensation, benefits, and HR compliance. Principle Accountabilities: • Responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising the execution of department activities in the areas of human resources, employee relations benefits enrollment, onboarding, law, and compliance., • Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures., • Maintains oversight of benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting and annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness., • Development and maintenance of the equal opportunity program, EEO-1 and VETS 4212 reporting, and maintenance of other records as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations., • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws., • Develops and administers various human resources plan and procedures for all company personnel., • Participates in implementing strategic aim, department goals, objectives and systems acquisition and maintenance., • Conducts new-employee orientations, monitors career-path program, employee relations counseling, and conducts exit interviews., • Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars., • Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals., • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed., • Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time. Knowledge and Skills: • Must have exceptional customer service skills., • Must be proficient in English (read/write/speak). Education: • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or Business Administration is required, master’s degree is preferred., • PHR or SHRM-CP is required, SPHR or SHRM-SCP is highly preferred. Physical Requirements: • Must be able to sit for more than 8 hours per day., • Must be willing to work overtime if necessary., • Must be able to use an elevator or walk up and down stairs., • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and carry up to 10 feet., • Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees and reach above and below shoulders., • Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print., • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear., • Must be able to perform duties in an indoor or outdoor environment., • Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation., • Must undergo urine drug screening (UDS).
