Job Description • Perform network engineering and administration functions associated with the Network Operations Center and Information Technology/Information Management department, • Generate/provide status reports, provide network anomaly analysis, and develop engineering redlines as needed to support network maintenance actions, engineering changes/upgrades, and security vulnerabilities, • Provide technical analysis in data network planning, systems administration, engineering, and design, using implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to network problems, • Use Remedy software to track and provide customer support via work order, change requests and incidents, • Develop comprehensive and detailed drawings, using Microsoft Visio, to document end-to-end circuit path for maintaining both Wide-Area networks (WANs) and Local-Area networks (LANs), • Use DSX equipment panels and associated wiring Fiber optics cabling, connectors and termination techniques, metallic cabling, connectors and termination techniques, • Follow documented processes and procedures and provide feedback to update as necessary, • Provide on call support for various infrastructure issues for VIP/ Senior Management support, • Must be willing, and able, to travel regionally to support various IC driven projects and troubleshooting Education/Training: • High School diploma required, • Associate’s Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline desired, • Current IAT Level II certification (ex: Security+) required, • Current CCNA certification required Experience: • 3+ years of professional experience in the required task area, • Experience with Solarwinds, NetScout and networking (LAN/WAN) required Preferred Experience: • Experience with Cisco routers/switches, Cisco ISE, SDWAN, SD-Access and KVM switches, TCP/IP, UDP Multicast, OSPF, various WAN network mediums, legacy network systems such as SONET, LightWave ATM and TDM multiplexer network timing systems, • Experience providing support environments for an "operational network", to include tech-control environments, crypto maintenance, COMSEC, or systems administration, • Proficiency with DISA, local and long-haul circuit vendors, • Strong technical and hands-on experience in all of the following: various protocols for data transmission (RS-232, RS-530, T1, T3, ESF, D4, B8ZS, L3VPN, OC-3, OC-12, OC-48, OC-192), OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) 7-layer model and the various facets of data transmission between any two points in a network, • Experience using DSX equipment panels and associated wiring Fiber optics cabling, connectors and termination techniques, metallic cabling, connectors and termination techniques, • Hands-on experience with current secure communications devices (VoIP phones, Viper, Jabber and other devices) and infrastructure components (communications lines - POTs/ISDN/Leased line, encryption devices, call management Security: • Must be a US citizen, • Candidate must be in possession of a minimum DoD issued Secret Clearance Physical Requirements: • Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms, • Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk, • Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.), • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision), • Retirement Plan (401k, IRA), • Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D), • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays), • Short Term & Long Term Disability, • Training & Development, • Wellness Resources Salary: $80,000 - 120,000 Salary rates for this position are competitive and commensurate with experience and industry standards.
