OVERVIEW: Our client, a Global Fortune 50 organization and one of world’s largest distributors of Health care systems, medical supplies & Pharmaceutical products, seeks an accomplished Registered Pharmacist. IMPORTANT NOTES: • This will be an onsite role., • Candidate must hold Active Pharmacist licenses in the following states: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Idaho, Iowa., • Duration: 4-5 months assignment with possible extension, • Work location: 5470 Division Dr Fort Myers FL 33905, • Work schedule: (Mon-Fri) 8:30am-5:00pm || 40 hours per week RESPONSIBILITIES: Clinical & Patient Care • Conduct initial patient evaluations, including review of disease state, therapy plans, and health histories., • Develop, implement, and monitor oral and injectable oncology therapy care plans., • Coordinate pharmaceutical care with physicians and clinical providers to ensure safe and timely therapy delivery., • Monitor therapeutic outcomes, detect adverse reactions, and recommend therapy modifications as needed., • Counsel patients and families on medication use, side effects, interactions, and lifestyle considerations., • Prepare, verify, and dispense medications in compliance with professional standards., • Perform QA checks on new and refill orders, ensuring accuracy, safety, and insurance authorization prior to dispensing., • Verify prescriptions for completeness, dosage accuracy, and proper physician authorization., • Oversee technician workflow, verifying preparation, labeling, order entry, and charges., • Maintain accurate prescription, inventory, and patient charge records., • Lead and supervise pharmacists, technicians, and support staff., • Provide coaching, training, mentorship, and professional development., • Conduct performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as needed., • Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with organizational goals., • Manage departmental resources and budgets where applicable., • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and specialty pharmacy accreditation standards., • Maintain readiness for audits and inspections., • Develop and uphold policies, guidelines, and hazardous drug handling processes., • Support and maintain accreditations including:, • NABP, • URAC, • ACHC, • NCODA, • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited school of pharmacy., • Active Pharmacist licenses in the following states: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Idaho, Iowa., • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Registered Pharmacist., • 1–2+ years of supervisory or pharmacy management experience., • Oncology or specialty pharmacy background strongly preferred., • Experience with pharmacy accreditation standards highly desirable., • Proficiency with pharmacy systems and technology., • Strong leadership, communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills., • On-site pharmacy environment with direct patient interaction., • Regular exposure to medicinal preparations and chemotherapeutic agents., • Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds as required., • Vision and hearing corrected to normal ranges.
