American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Fort Myers, Florida. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: OR - Operating Room, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 04/27/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 10 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 4x10hrs, • Hours: 40 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Apr 27, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • 10-hour day shifts, 0630–1700, 4 days per week with Wednesdays off, • On-call required: 1 shift per week after the scheduled day (2–4 hours) plus 1–2 twelve-hour weekend shifts per month, • Surgical specialties include orthopedics, oncology, bariatrics, vascular, neuro, trauma, and robotics, • Epic EMR is used in this facility, • Floating is required; travelers are first to float, including to sister campuses within 15–20 minutes of the primary location, • Hospital-provided scrubsRequirements, • Active FL or Compact RN license required, • Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred, • Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required, • Robotic surgical experience required, • Orthopedic and/or neuro surgical experience required, • Prior travel nursing experience required, • Degree from an accredited nursing program required, or 5+ years of experience in lieu of accreditation documentation, • Full DOB, SSN, RN license number, and driver's license required for consideration, • Two professional references required (at least one from within the past year)Additional Information, • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; this rule is strictly enforced and applies to owned or co-signed property as well, • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and will not be approved after an offer is made, • Block scheduling requests are not accepted, • Orientation begins on a Friday; remote orientation is completed, but candidates must report to the facility in person for badge and ID issuance, • Travelers are expected to function as core staff and integrate fully into the unit culture With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
