Architectural Designer Location: Sacramento, CA (Hybrid) Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Job Description We are seeking an Architectural Designer to support a growing portfolio of awarded projects across institutional, healthcare, education, industrial, federal, and public-sector markets. This role is focused on project execution, construction documentation, and technical production rather than conceptual design alone. The ideal candidate is a highly proficient Revit user who can contribute immediately in a fast-paced production environment, collaborate effectively with architects and engineers, and help support projects from design development through construction documentation. Compensation Hourly Pay Range: $45.00 - $57.69 per hour Compensation will be based on experience, technical capabilities, and overall qualifications. What You'll Accomplish • Produce architectural construction documents using Revit, • Support project delivery from design development through construction documentation, • Prepare plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and drawing packages, • Incorporate markups, redlines, revisions, and design changes into coordinated drawing sets, • Collaborate directly with architects, engineers, consultants, and project teams, • Coordinate multidisciplinary project information to help maintain project schedules and deliverables, • Support detailing and drawing production across multiple project types, • Participate in project coordination activities and technical problem-solving efforts, • Help maintain document quality, consistency, and accuracy throughout project execution, • Contribute to construction administration, field investigations, shop drawing reviews, and change management activities as needed What We're Looking For We're looking for a technically strong Architectural Designer who enjoys hands-on production work, construction documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary design teams. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a consulting environment, communicating directly with engineers, and taking ownership of their project contributions. Required Qualifications • Approximately 5-7 years of architectural design and production experience, • Advanced proficiency with Revit, • Strong experience producing architectural construction documents, • Experience with construction document (CD) phases, detailing, and drawing production, • Ability to maintain coordinated drawing sets and incorporate project revisions, • Experience coordinating with architects, engineers, and consultants, • Strong communication and collaboration skills, • Experience working within an architectural or A/E consulting environment, • Ability to support multiple project types and deadlines simultaneously Preferred Qualifications • Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or a related discipline, • Interior Architecture or Interior Design experience, • BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud experience, • AutoCAD experience, • Photoshop, rendering, or visualization experience, • Construction Administration experience, • Experience supporting field investigations and shop drawing reviews, • Experience with institutional, healthcare, education, industrial, laboratory, federal, military, or public-sector projects, • Experience working on large-scale or technically complex building projects Work Environment • Hybrid work environment, • Collaborative architecture and engineering consulting setting, • Work closely with architects, project teams, engineers, and consultants, • Opportunity to contribute to a wide range of project types and market sectors, • Fast-paced environment supporting active project delivery and growing project volume, • Team-oriented culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence If you're a strong Revit user who enjoys construction documentation, multidisciplinary coordination, and hands-on project delivery, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team and contribute immediately to meaningful architectural projects.
