Job Description Job Posting Title SENIOR REGIONAL DIRECTOR Job Description The Senior Regional Director is responsible for the development, implementation, and quality operations of departmental services. Acting on behalf of the corporation as authorized by the CEO/COO or Executive Director, this position directs operations, supervises assigned personnel, assists with intake assessments, maintains occupancy rates, and ensures staff coverage in designated programs. The Senior Regional Director functions as the administrator of specific programs to ensure effective daily operations, promotes professional development of staff, monitors compliance, and ensures services are delivered in accordance with safety regulations, federal and state requirements, and agency policies. Additionally, the role supports coordination across organizational units, reviews data to improve services, and provides leadership to enhance the experience of individuals served and employees. Major Responsibilities: DIRECT DUTIES Implement and oversee management of daily operational activities for the assigned affiliate. Provide oversight to program activities and ensure compliance with policies, federal and state regulations. Initiate and manage strategic and operational planning aligned with organizational goals. Monitor strategic plan activities and report progress to leadership. Maintain knowledge of developments in community mental health and regulatory environments. Develop and maintain positive relationships with government, regulatory, and funding agencies. Participate in contract renewals and maintain regular contact with funding sources. Assist with development and implementation of the annual budget; review expense reports and adjust operations accordingly. Coordinate recruitment, hiring, orientation, and training of staff. Provide clinical oversight, including risk assessment and recommendations for care. Ensure proper implementation of treatment plans and behavioral interventions. Manage crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution processes. Lead interdisciplinary teams and facilitate staff meetings. Monitor delivery of direct services and ensure quality standards. Conduct performance appraisals and supervise staff according to policy. Represent the agency in the community and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with ethical standards, safety regulations, and organizational policies. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Participate in local, state, and national associations to stay informed of industry trends. Attend board meetings and provide feedback on strategic initiatives. Engage in research and advocacy for program improvements. Represent the organization at professional and community meetings. Support quality management processes and participate in agency committees. Perform additional duties as assigned by the CEO/COO or Executive Director. Maintain flexibility in work schedule, including office and site visits. Section 6: Qualifications and CompetenciesJob Qualifications Physical ability to fulfill job requirements (lifting, mobility, etc.). Ability to supervise and/or assist consumers in residential programs. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Education and Experience High School Diploma with five years of administrative experience in a behavioral healthcare setting. Minimum of three years of supervisory or management experience. Experience with behavioral-oriented programming applied in various settings. Valid driver’s license with a three-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). Satisfactory background investigation report. Well-organized and detail orientated. Excellent customer service skills (both internal and external). Resident relations and retention. Knowledge and understanding of state and federal regulations regarding group home/residential care. Behavioral issue management and crisis intervention skills. Compliance with regulatory standards. Proficiency in direct supervision, developmental disabilities care and medication administration. Life saving measures (CPR) and first aid certifications. Budget management. Previous supervisor/management experience in group home/residential setting. Medical terminology knowledge. Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of the appropriate regulations, Apis values and program policies and procedures. Basic computer and internet literacy with the ability to utilize applications like emails, time recording and other programs to enter and retrieve data as necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. Valid non-provisional drivers’ license and personal vehicle with state minimum liability insurance coverage. Subject to employment screenings, including FBI clearance, if applicable. Section 7: Physical Demands and Working Conditions Maintain and abide by OSHA requirements and guidelines. Observe all Fire and Safety Policies and Procedures. Observe all Fiscal/Office procedures. Observe all HIPAA Policies and Procedures and maintain confidentiality. Attend all required and scheduled trainings and meetings with access by HR Personnel Policies and Procedures. Equipment Operations: Telephone: Cellular, multi-line, calculator, copier, fax, computer. Computer Software and Applications: Knowledge of office software programs. Always maintain a professional demeanor and exercise good judgment in all areas of employment duties. Vehicle Requirements: Current driver's license, driver registration and a functional vehicle.
