Position Summary: The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the company’s accounting operations, with responsibilities spanning accounts payable oversight, fixed asset accounting, lease accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities. This role will supervise and guide junior accounting staff, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintain strong internal controls while contributing to process improvements and compliance initiatives. Key Responsibilities: * Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing training, feedback, and oversight of daily tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency. * Oversee accounts payable activities, including review of invoices, proper coding, compliance with company policies, and timely payments. * Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, disposals, asset transfers, and maintaining the fixed asset subledger. * Prepare and monitor depreciation schedules, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policy and accounting standards. * Administer lease accounting in compliance with ASC 842/IFRS 16, including recording new leases, reassessments, modifications, and month-end amortization of right-of-use assets and lease liabilities. * Perform and review account reconciliations, including AP subledger-to-GL, fixed assets, leases, accruals, and other balance sheet accounts. * Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules. * Assist with general ledger maintenance and ensure proper expense and asset classification in compliance with GAAP and company policies. * Manage vendor relationships, including onboarding, payment term compliance, and dispute resolution. * Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support management decision-making. * Support internal and external audits, providing requested schedules, documentation, and explanations. * Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls. * Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company procedures. * Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned. Requirements: * Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. * CPA or equivalent certification preferred. * 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including AP oversight, fixed asset accounting, and month-end close responsibilities. * Strong knowledge of US GAAP, fixed asset accounting, lease accounting (ASC 842), and internal controls. * Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel; SAP S4/Hana experience preferred. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent communication skills in both Korean and English (verbal and written). * Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners. * Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and develop staff. * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. * Must have a physical address in the United States. The base salary for this position is between $76,000.00 and $95,000.00 per year. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, and location. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation and benefits, including an annual incentive bonus, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, PTO/FTO, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
