We continue to grow and are looking for a Senior Total Rewards Manager to join our team in Milwaukee, WI! About the Role: Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the Senior Total Rewards Manager is responsible for designing, leading, and optimizing a comprehensive Total Rewards strategy that attracts, retains, and engages employees towards elevated levels of engagement as well as delivers desired culture and business results. This role leads all aspects of the execution of compensation, payroll, benefits, rewards, and recognition programs to ensure these programs are competitive, effective, fiscally responsible, compliant and aligned with the company’s mission, vision, and core values. The Total Rewards program is critical component of the company’s overall people strategy that aligns value-added compensation, benefits and rewards programs to attract and retain talent, drive elevated levels of employee engagement and deliver desired culture and business growth. This role partners closely with Executive and Division leadership, as well as Human Resource and Finance teams and external partners. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Total Rewards Strategy & Integration • Serve as a critical partner during any mergers and acquisitions from Due Diligence through any plan integration., • Provide expertise analysis by identifying risks, implications, and opportunities of harmonization of any Total Rewards program or practice., • Design and execute integration plans that preserve critical talent, minimize operational distribution, and achieve cultural and cost synergies and unity across businesses., • Partners with various external and internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of Total Rewards programs. Compensation Planning • Oversee the evaluation, design and administration of compensation policies and procedures across the organization to ensure consistency and compliance that aligns desired culture, employee experience, and organizational goals., • Lead position analysis to ensure accurate exemption status, job classifications, and appropriate compensation levels., • Manage, assess, and benchmark competitive benefits, compensation, and rewards programs., • Perform analytical studies in a variety of compensation areas, such as internal and external equity, competitive pay practices, salary structures, variable pay programs, long term incentives, and emerging trends to drive performance and achievement., • Design creative solutions for specific compensation-related programs and incentive plans., • Oversee participation in salary surveys and monitor salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved., • Provide recommendations to key stakeholders regarding pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations. Payroll Management • Implements, maintains, reviews, and optimizes payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salary, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions., • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates., • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and compensation, wage and hour laws, regulations, and best practices., • Lead and develop direct and indirect HR team members including training, coaching and daily management. Benefit Planning & Administration • Manage enrollment, renewal, and delivery of benefits programs to include medical, pharmacy, vision, dental, disability, life insurance, employee assistance programs, 401(k) plans and other programs., • Plan effectively and execute the implementation and administration of all benefit plans including annual open enrollment efforts., • Optimize value of robust wellness programming to health plan results, productivity, organizational performance, and quality of life., • Assist with the development of and delivery of Total Rewards program including reward and recognition programs., • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws governing Total Rewards practices such as FLSA, EEO, ERISA, ACA, HIPPA, COBRA and other regulatory requirements., • Develop key Benefit vendor relationships to ensure successful delivery of services., • Develop and implement communication strategies to education managers and employees on total rewards policies, practices, processes, and programs to promote understanding, utilization, and transparency., • Analyze total rewards data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations to enhance our total rewards programs., • Ensure proper utilization and optimization of HRIS to ensure efficiency and accuracy of workflow, • Collaborate with HR partners, Finance, and business leaders to align total reward strategies with organizational objectives and priorities. Systems, Analytics & Optimization • Lead evaluation and potential optimization or implementation of HRIS, compensation, and payroll systems., • Drive analytics and insights related to pay equity, cost modeling, workforce trends, and ROI of total rewards programs., • Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems and reporting. Education and/or Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field; PHR, SPHR certification desired, • 8-10 years of progressive experience in HR environment with an in-depth compensation and benefits focus – preferably in a large multi-state, manufacturing, or industrial environment and both union and nonunion workforces, • Demonstrated experience leading M&A integration across compensation, benefits, and HRIS systems., • Demonstrated experience with multiple HRIS systems implementations and optimizations., • Exposure to outsourced, union, nonunion and international workforces Other Relevant Skills and Abilities • Strong financial acumen, change management capabilities and technological savviness., • Ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with leadership and external vendors., • Strong working knowledge of Total Rewards best practices, market trends, HR laws and practices, and related regulations, • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful insights, including designing and developing presentations., • Demonstrated understanding and the ability to design and implement and manage processes and programs., • Solid business acumen to understand business implications and ROI for program recommendations., • Advanced Microsoft suite skills (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint) as well as the ability to pick up other computer systems quickly. BI and AI tools are preferred., • Ability to effectively collaborate and lead others to shared goals and outcomes in a diverse work environment., • Ability to work independently and effectively with a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and continuous improvement., • Ability to read and interpret documents such as employee policies and procedures, handbooks, benefit information, employment laws and regulations., • Ability to write and analyze advanced reports, • Ability to communicate effectively with at all levels of the organization as well as external stakeholders., • Effective oral and written communications and presentation skills are essential, as are interpersonal skills, • Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized and unstandardized situations., • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues is required.
