Soccer Forward Overview Soccer Forward, U.S. Soccer’s 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup legacy initiative, is dedicated to improving lives and strengthening communities through the most accessible sport in America. Soccer Forward focuses on its partners in the soccer ecosystem and will engage with key stakeholders such as FIFA, Concacaf, NWSL, and MLS, as well as with U.S. Soccer member organizations. The Soccer Forward team creates innovative and thoughtful strategies on how Soccer Forward can contribute to U.S. Soccer’s sponsors, media partners and donors through social impact initiatives, events and programs. The team organizes, engages, manages and develops relationships with key community and charitable partners, particularly at a national and global level. Position Description The Senior Director, Insight and Learning is responsible for transforming Soccer Forward’s mission, programs, and research into high-quality, scalable products and content that inform, educate, and activate the soccer ecosystem. This role owns the vision, strategy, and execution of Soccer Forward’s content and insights portfolio, ensuring that knowledge is structured, discoverable, and designed for sustained use. Sitting close to executive leadership, this role brings a product-led mindset to Soccer Forward’s digital offerings, aligning content strategy and product roadmaps with organizational priorities and user needs. The Senior Director ensures that research, best practices, and learnings from across Soccer Forward are translated into clear, compelling, and actionable resources that drive adoption and impact. Additionally, the role is responsible for setting and tracking measurable impact, ultimately leading a growing team of measurement and evaluation experts in capturing quantitative and qualitative data that reflects objectives and long-term goals of the Federation. Near-Term Priority Focus Areas • Establish a clear product roadmap for Soccer Forward’s Resource Hub, • Translate women’s health and equity research into high-impact digital resources, • Design a sustainable operating model for content creation, review, and updates, • Identify and pilot new digital products that support practitioners, communities, and partners, • Set measurables for impact and approach for tracking data to respond to those measurables Content and Product Strategy • Define and own the vision and roadmap for Soccer Forward’s content and digital product portfolio, aligned to the foundation’s strategic priorities, • Translate Soccer Forward’s mission, programs, and research into a coherent set of content products, tools, and learning assets, • Prioritize initiatives based on user needs, organizational goals, and expected impact, • Own the strategy, structure, and evolution of Soccer Forward’s Resource Hub and related digital platforms, • Design scalable models for creating, updating, and curating content so resources remain current, credible, and useful over time, • Ensure digital products are intuitive, accessible, and designed to meet users where they are, • Partner with internal teams and external researchers to translate research outputs into accessible, actionable content, • Lead the synthesis of insights from women’s health research, program learnings, and field data into tools, briefs, and learning resources, • Ensure research-informed content maintains rigor while remaining usable by practitioners, leaders, and partners, • Work closely with program, strategy, communications, and technology teams to align content and product development with broader Soccer Forward initiatives, • Serve as a connective point between research, program delivery, and external-facing content, • Ensure content development timelines, dependencies, and ownership are clear across teams, • Align stakeholders around shared goals for digital products and content initiativesRequirements: Minimum Qualifications • General knowledge of soccer., • Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments., • Must be able to connect “micro” details to the “macro” vision and mission., • Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
