Job DescriptionProduction Manager Production Manager Position Overview Lead and coordinate day-to-day production activities for a food and beverage manufacturing facility to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality output. The Production Manager will drive production planning, manage staff and supervisors, oversee bottling and sanitation processes, and work closely with Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to meet production targets and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities • Plan, schedule, and manage production activities to meet volume, cost, quality, and delivery targets., • Supervise, mentor, and develop front-line supervisors and production staff; manage staffing, shift coverage, and performance reviews., • Oversee bottling line operations and other production processes to ensure efficient throughput and minimal downtime., • Implement and maintain sanitation, food safety, and regulatory compliance programs (GMP, HACCP, and company policies)., • Partner with Quality to ensure product specifications, in-process controls, and corrective actions are effectively executed., • Manage relationships with unionized workforce and local union representatives, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and fair workplace practices., • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (LEAN, 5S, TPM) to improve yield, reduce waste, and optimize labor and equipment utilization., • Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure preventive maintenance, rapid breakdown response, and spare parts availability., • Monitor production KPIs, prepare reports, and present performance and improvement plans to senior management., • Control production costs, support budgeting and forecasting, and manage inventory of packaging and raw materials. Qualifications • Bachelors degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience., • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in Production Management within the Food and Beverage industry., • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills; experience supervising supervisors and front-line teams., • Strong knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards, including experience implementing GMP and HACCP programs., • Hands-on experience with bottling operations and beverage or liquid product manufacturing is highly desirable., • Experience working in unionized manufacturing environments and familiarity with collective bargaining processes is a plus., • Solid track record driving operational improvements using LEAN, 5S, or similar methodologies., • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, with proficiency in MS Office and experience with ERP or production scheduling systems., • Required skills: Management; Food And Beverage; Production Management.
