Job Description Reporting to the Director of Communications & Marketing, the Digital Content & Social Media Specialist supports and executes the organization’s digital communications strategy to shape and amplify the public voice, brand, and impact of Catholic Charities San Francisco. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and analyzing social media, digital, and multimedia content that advances awareness, engagement, and donor support across all audiences. Salary: $75,000 per year Location: Onsite 5 days a week • Develop a comprehensive digital content and social media strategy encompassing a content calendar with a focus on key events, messaging guidelines, and program stories., • Develop content across digital and traditional channels – including written, visual and video pieces – to deliver key messages and advance Catholic Charities strategic communications goals., • Work in partnership with our 35 programs to identify engaging and inspiring stories highlighting our work, employees, clients, donors, volunteers and impact., • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide ongoing reports detailing KPIs such as reach, engagement, and follower growth., • Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and areas for optimization. Leverage social media trends and topics to gain traction, integrate with our brand, and amplify following., • Utilize search engine optimization (SEO) to optimize content and analyze trends to better understand what contents promotes our audience to take action., • Present actionable recommendations to enhance social media effectiveness, digital ad optimization, and achieve strategic objectives., • Work in partnership with Catholic Charities staff to produce brochures, event invitations, donor mailings and electronic communications for external and internal communications needs., • Proficiency in Adobe Suite and/or Canva is preferred., • Monitor and respond to comments, messages and mentions to foster community participation and engagement, • Ensure all assets are on brand and in line with company values and goals, • Manage social media advertising budget, • Assist Advancement Team members in drafting other fundraising materials, as needed., • Assist in writing and pitching media releases to appropriate media channels, prepare talking points, speeches, presentations and other supporting materials as needed., • In collaboration with Director of Communications, assists with implementing strategies for increased local exposure in print and electronic press, as well as various regional and national outlets., • Build relationships across the organization to champion the brand strategy., • Represent the organization at external functions as directed, • Perform additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience., • Experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred, • Ability to work as a member of a team., • Promote a positive professional and organizational image in the community., • Solid written and verbal communication skills., • Excellent interpersonal skills., • Demonstrates the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in cross-cultural situations.
