This is a high-acuity respiratory care role supporting adult critical care and trauma patients in a fast-paced Level I Trauma and teaching environment. The ideal candidate will have recent critical care experience, strong ventilator management skills, and confidence working with complex trauma, neuro, burn, and ICU patients. Key Responsibilities • Deliver advanced respiratory care to adult critical care and ICU patients, • Perform respiratory assessments, interventions, and therapeutic treatments, • Manage ventilators and troubleshoot high-pressure alarms, • Administer respiratory medications and oxygen therapies, • Perform airway management, suctioning, extubation, and tracheostomy care, • Draw and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs), • Document all care accurately in EpicRequired Qualifications, • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), • Active Washington State Respiratory License, • BLS Certification, • Minimum 2 years of RRT experience, • Critical Care experience within the last 12 months (Required), • Epic charting experience (Hard Stop), • Experience with Cough Assist / MIE and LP / LPV (Required)Preferred Qualifications, • Level I Trauma experience, • Teaching hospital experience, • Pediatrics experience preferred (not required), • ACLS, NRP, and PALS preferredRequired Skills, • Adult Critical Care, • Ventilator Management, • BiPAP / CPAP, • Weaning from Mechanical Ventilation, • Airway Management, • Tracheostomy Care / Management, • Extubation, • Intubation Assist, • Drawing and Interpretation of ABGs, • Chest Physiotherapy, • Pulmonary Hygiene, • High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), • Oxygen TherapyPatient Population, • Adults, • Geriatrics, • Adult ICU / Critical Care, • Trauma, • Neuro, • Burn, • Medical ICU, • Small pediatric population (peds experience preferred, not required)Equipment & Procedures, • Hamilton G5, • Servo U, • Zoll, • LTV, • Trilogy, • INO, • Inhaled Epoprostenol, • Lung Protective Ventilation, • ECLS, • Spinal Cord Injury PathwayAssignment Details, • 13-week travel assignment, • Night shift | 3x12s, • Every other weekend required, • No call required, • No floating required, • Block scheduling available, • First-time travelers accepted, • Locals accepted, • No pending license accepted, • No pre-approved time offImportant Notes, • Must have critical care experience within the last 12 months, • Must have Cough Assist / MIE and LP / LPV experience, • Must have Epic experience, • Must hold active WA license at submission, • Must be comfortable with trauma, burns, neuro, and medically complex ICU patients Please submit your resume to mahin.shami@medcadre or Call/text .
