Job DescriptionDescription: Date posted: February 5, 2026 Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour Job description: Job Title: Driver Orientation Coordinator Department: Operations / Safety / Training Reports To: Operations Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Compensation 20-24 per hour Position Summary The Driver Orientation Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating all aspects of new driver orientation and onboarding. This role ensures drivers are properly trained, compliant with DOT regulations and company policies, and fully equipped prior to release to operations. The Coordinator manages logistics, documentation, systems compliance, and driver readiness while serving as the primary point of contact for new drivers throughout the onboarding process. Key Responsibilities Orientation Logistics & Coordination • Plan and coordinate all driver onboarding/orientation sessions (in-person), • Order and coordinate breakfast, lunch, and dinner for orientation classes as required, • Prepare orientation rooms, materials, schedules, and presentations, • Create driver name tags and prepare orientation packets, • Prep, configure, and distribute tablets for all drivers prior to orientation, • Ensure tablets are properly set up with required applications, credentials, and access, • Coordinate equipment assignments with Operations and IT as needed, • Coordinate email to let all department know attendance of orientation, • Assure and communicate completion status of all required training modules, • Identify and communicate any trainings not completed in Tenstreet, • Coordinate completion of outstanding training prior to driver release, • Prepare driver contracts via paper and/or electronic formats, • Ensure all contracts and onboarding documents are properly completed and executed, • Upload and maintain all required documentation in:, • Tenstreet, • McLeod, • Work closely with Safety, Operations, Shop, • Communicate driver readiness status and outstanding requirements, • Serve as the primary point of contact during the onboarding process, • Provide guidance on orientation schedules, expectations, and next steps, • Track orientation attendance, completion, and compliance metrics, • Identify gaps in onboarding, training, or documentation processes Qualifications Required • High school diploma or equivalent, • 2+ years of experience in driver onboarding, transportation, logistics, safety, or training, • Working knowledge of DOT compliance and driver qualification requirements, • Experience using Tenstreet and McLeod or similar TMS/ATS platforms, • Experience facilitating orientation or training sessions, • Familiarity with post-accident and drug & alcohol testing procedures, • Detail-oriented with a strong compliance focus, • Professional and approachable communication style, • Strong coordination and time management skills, • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • 401(k), • 401(k) matching, • Dental insurance, • Employee assistance program, • Health insurance, • Life insurance, • On-the-job training, • Paid sick time, • Paid time off, • Paid training, • Referral program, • Safety equipment provided, • Tuition reimbursement
