We are seeking an ASSISTANT COST PROJECT MANAGER for a full-time position located in Dallas, Texas. About the Role This position plays a key role in supporting project delivery with a strong emphasis on cost control, financial tracking, and budget management. The ACPM will collaborate closely with Project Managers, field staff, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are executed efficiently, profitably, and in accordance with company standards.Key Responsibilities • Cost Management & Financial Oversight, • Assist with developing, monitoring, and maintaining project budgets and forecasts., • Track and analyze project costs, prepare monthly cost reports, and identify potential budget risks or savings., • Support the management of change orders by reviewing estimates, negotiating subcontractor pricing, and validating cost impacts., • Review and process subcontractor invoices to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with budget., • Provide financial updates to project leadership and clients, ensuring transparency and accountability., • Project Planning & Coordination, • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project schedules, procurement logs, and submittals., • Coordinate subcontractor and vendor activities to align with project goals, budgets, and timelines., • Maintain comprehensive project records, including RFIs, meeting minutes, and progress reports., • Client & Stakeholder Engagement, • Participate in project meetings and provide cost-related reporting and insights., • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to support successful project delivery., • Project Closeout, • Assist with final project cost reconciliation and financial reporting., • Support closeout documentation, punch list activities, and warranty management.Qualifications, • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)., • 2+ years of experience in construction project coordination, estimating, or cost management., • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, schedules, and cost-control methodologies., • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, CMiC, Viewpoint) and Microsoft Excel., • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills., • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.Work Environment:, • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving machinery & mechanical parts, uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to loud noise, and outside weather conditions.Physical Requirements:, • The physical requirements must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Intermittent unassisted sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, stooping, crawling, pushing and lifting is required. Must be able to walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time for at least eight hours per day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move light equipment up to 50 pounds without assistance. Must be alert to equipment in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, ability to walk on uneven ground while physically maneuvering construction sites, ability to work in extreme temperatures or humidity, and potentially work at heights.Other Requirements:, • Possession of a valid state of residence driver's license with a clean driving record., • Daily travel to and from construction sites, generally within 100 miles from the home office is expected. Short term, out of town, assignments may be required. Long term, out of town, assignments may be required, with advance notice of planned dates., • May be required to work protracted and irregular hours to meet client's needs, including nights, overtime and weekends., • All positions at Foster CM Group require an applicant who has accepted an employment offer to undergo a background check.
