Job Description Position Summary: The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations within the facility, providing leadership and direction to Maintenance Technicians I–V. This role ensures that all facility maintenance, repair, and improvement activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements. The Supervisor serves as the primary point of coordination for work assignments, prioritization of tasks, and escalation of technical issues, while supporting a high-performing and safety-focused maintenance team. Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Provides daily supervision, direction, and coordination of Maintenance Technicians I–V., • Assigns, prioritizes, and monitors work orders to ensure timely completion and operational continuity., • Serves as the first point of escalation for technical, equipment, and facility-related issues., • Ensures maintenance activities are performed safely and in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and internal safety standards., • Conducts routine inspections of work performed to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to procedures., • Supports troubleshooting and resolution of complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facility systems issues., • Coordinates preventative maintenance schedules and ensures adherence to PM programs., • Works closely with Production, Engineering, and Facilities Management to support operational needs., • Reviews and approves completed work orders, ensuring proper documentation and closeout., • Assists in planning and executing facility repairs, upgrades, and equipment installations., • Monitors team performance and provide coaching, feedback, and on-the-job training., • Supports onboarding and training of new maintenance personnel., • Identifies skill gaps within the team and helps coordinate training or development plans., • Assists in managing inventory levels and coordinates with procurement for critical maintenance parts and supplies., • Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and facility resources., • Participating in root cause analysis of equipment failures and recurring maintenance issues., • Provides leadership coverage in the absence of the Facilities Engineering Manager as needed. Supervises: Diverse team of maintenance personnel (Electronics technicians, Vacuum technicians, and general maintenance personnel). Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: • Advanced knowledge of building systems including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and industrial equipment., • Strong understanding of maintenance operations across multiple technical levels (I–V technician scope)., • Ability to read and interpret complex schematics, blueprints, PLC logic diagrams, and technical manuals., • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across multi-discipline systems., • Working knowledge of PLC systems, industrial controls, and automation principles., • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, coach, and motivate a technical team., • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization., • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment., • Proficiency with maintenance management systems (CMMS), Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), and reporting tools., • Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and general industrial safety requirements., • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and escalate issues appropriately., • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in maintenance supervision or lead maintenance roles with direct responsibility for coordinating maintenance teams and work activities., • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive maintenance experience in industrial, manufacturing, or facility maintenance environments., • Associate degree (A.S.) in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or related technical field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on technical training/experience., • Demonstrated experience working with multi-craft maintenance disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and industrial equipment systems., • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is strongly preferred., • Experience working with maintenance management systems (CMMS), preventive maintenance programs, and work order tracking systems preferred. Physical Requirements & Working Environment: • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods., • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 50lbs., • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach as required., • Ability to safely climb, descend, and work from ladders, stairs, and elevated platforms at verifying heights., • Ability to work in varying environment conditions, including indoor and outdoor settings, temperature variations, and mechanical noise., • Manual dexterity to operate hand tools, machine controls, and measuring instruments., • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)., • Support weekend facility checks (alternating).
