Description and Requirements Responsible for Manufacturing Engineer designs, develops, and improves production processes for efficiency, safety, and quality. Also responsible for optimizing workflows, setting up systems like SAP (HANA or S4), controlling engineering changes, and documentation, always utilizing lean manufacturing strategies. This role requires collaboration with design and production departments and participating in engineering specification reviews. Location: Whitsett, United States Key Responsibilities • Control engineering specifications and co-work with the global engineering team to define local enablement., • Support and update product structure using SAP and local internal systems to define product routing and parameters., • Setup / configure Label design and system to support product labels, and define Zebra printer parameters., • Deeply understand product structure and manufacturing processes, parts commodity validations, and local qualification process for manufacturing., • Develop and define solutions for manufacturing., • Manage Bill of Material (BOM) and Engineering Change (EC) data in the system to support normal production, new product imports, and troubleshooting., • Control and update system for Engineering Changes (EC) and product process / specs updates., • Keep SAP system updated on the latest product setup and standard time setup., • Support urgent orders and cross-functional business projects., • Lead continuous improvement projects., • Comply with Quality, Environment, Occupational Health, and Safety Management Systems. Basic Qualifications • High school diploma or technical certification, • Bachelor’s or associate degree in manufacturing engineering or industrial technology or related Field., • Experience: 2 to 3 years relevant experience., • Experience in electronics or server hardware assembly preferred., • Ability to read technical drawings and use basic diagnostic tools., • Familiarity with ESD-safe handling procedures., • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity., • Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment interface., • Quality Tools: Intermediate knowledge of tools like Ishikawa/Fishbone diagram, PDCA, FMEA, and 8D., • ERP Systems: Advanced proficiency in SAP (or similar ERP) for product structure, routing, and Engineering Change management., • Advanced knowledge of the Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)., • Advanced knowledge and certification in Lean Six Sigma (Yellow or Greenbelt)., • Advanced understanding of product instruction and design, particularly for BOM and engineering change control.
