This is an ideal opportunity for you to make an impact on our supply chain strategy for robust, efficient, and fast program startup & execution.This role will offer you the following daily challenges:As part of the Enterprise Strategic Sourcing (ESS) Organization, this position will be responsible for managing the assignments and team of Subcontract Program Managers that are responsible for overall cost, schedule, technical and quality performance for all Payloads and Processors Suppliers Payloads and Processors subcontracts managed out of the RF Center of Excellence (RFCoE) and the Edge Processor Center of Excellence (EP CoE) as well as high profile SMD (Strategic Missle Defense) program contracts. This role will encompass coordination and decision-making amongst the LM COE/Program offices/SPMs, as well as presenting relevant information to Program Leadership as necessary. The selected candidate will also be serving as a Supply Chain management mentor and coach to a team of growing Supply Chain Managers assigned to your team. The role will work hand-in-hand with the Subcontract Administrator leadership team to validate and assign needed Subcontract Administrator support to your Subcontract Managers assignments. In addition, this role will be directly responsible for managing the Critical Supplier major subcontract.Although this position does support some teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in either Denver, CO, Huntsville, AL, Louisville, KY, Sunnyvale, CA , and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.Basic Qualifications:To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications: • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.• Prior formal leadership experience- Ability to lead, train, coach and mentor all levels of employees• Prior professional experience developing and implementing organizational process improvements• 4+ years of procurement experience with respect to Subcontract Management activities.• 4+ years of subcontract experience including development of RFP’s, complex statements of work, proposal evaluation criteria, and source selection criteria.• Hands-on negotiating experience. • You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Desired Skills:To be successful, ideally, you should also have:• Ability to effectively engage with executive-level stakeholders• Excellent relationship-building skills and proven experience of enabling effective relationships with Suppliers, Engineering, IPT leads, Program Management, and Customer• You bring positivity and enthusiasm to every project you touch.
