This role will provide healthcare support at our onsite healthcare clinic located at our client's manufacturing center in Marion, OH. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Responding to emergencies efficiently and promptly., • Administering basic first aid and medical support and assessing the nature and extent of injuries/illnesses., • Perform drug tests, hearing tests, pulmonary function and fit tests as necessary, • Effectively communicating with medical professionals and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further action and following up accordingly., • Effectively communicating, receiving and carrying out patient care plans given by the Overseeing Physician, Medical Director, or third-party providers as necessary, • Effectively communicating with client and site personnel regarding any worksite incidents, hazards, etc., • Demonstrating a strong orientation towards team work and the ability to understand the importance of team coordinated efforts., • Create an environment of trust and caring, which allows workers to take responsibility to reduce or eliminate actions or behaviors under their control that contribute to injury and illness., • Communicate regularly with key client site personnel regarding injury prevention activities. Key Skills & Competencies • Must have a valid state license, • 2+ years previous industry experience required, • 2+ years Occupational Health experience a plus, • Current CPR/First Aid certifications required, • CAOHC certified as an Occupational Hearing Conservationist is a plus, • Breath alcohol technician (DOT) trained is a plus, • Urine Drug Screening (DOT) trained is a plus, • Proficient with MS Office, • Prior knowledge in the areas of Occupational Health, OSHA Recordability and Worker's Compensation preferred, • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with client and employees Salaried ranges listed are for full time (40 hour) employees. Job DescriptionDescription: A Paramedic working for Donald Martens and Sons Ambulance Service is responsible for responding to emergent and non-emergent calls that require a higher level of medical care. This could include intravenous administration, administration of medications, advanced oxygen treatment and advanced cardiac monitoring and procedures. Works closely with other Paramedics and/or EMTS to deliver excellent patient care and customer service. Requirements: RESPONSIBILITIES: · Ability to critically think to assess the extent of illness or injury accurately and obtain the patient’s medical history when possible. · Providing appropriate care for patient condition and acuity, such as stabilization of a patient, assessing/ managing airway and administering oxygen, CPR and cardiac monitoring, placing catheters for venous access, administering IV fluids and medication, following established guidelines and protocols. · Administering invasive and non-invasive therapies, including intubation and pulmonary ventilation, application of bandages, immobilization of fractures, bleeding control and various other tasks. · Able to lead a patient care team and manage a change in patient condition effectively. · Ability to stay calm and make the right decisions in adverse conditions · Dealing with physical as well as emotional needs of a patient. · Handling radio communications and coordinating with dispatch center. · Safe transportation of the patient to the appropriate medical facility. · Thorough documentation of the nature of illness and treatment provided while enroute to the facility. This documentation is required for accurate communication to staff at facility as well as for proper billing. · Completing start of shift vehicle checks to ensure all the patient care equipment functions properly and replacing all supplies used in the ambulance throughout your shift. · May be required to assist in in-house training and new hire orientation. · Be able to safely operate an emergency vehicle with due regard for lay persons on road and within the community. This includes the use of emergency lights and sirens.
