Job DescriptionDescription: Job Summary: We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in clinical nutrition and a strong commitment to promoting healthy dietary practices. This role involves assessing patients’ nutritional needs, developing and implementing nutrition plans, and providing education and support to patients and their families. Key Responsibilities: • Nutritional Assessment: Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients, considering medical history, dietary habits, and health goals., • Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on patients’ needs and medical conditions., • Patient Counseling: Provide one-on-one and group counseling sessions to educate patients on healthy eating habits, special diets, and lifestyle changes., • Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers, including doctors, nurses, and other dietitians, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care., • Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor patients’ progress, adjust nutrition plans as needed, and document outcomes in electronic health records (EHR) systems., • Education and Training: Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff on nutrition-related topics. Develop educational materials and conduct workshops or seminars., • Compliance: Ensure all dietary practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies., • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field. Masters degree in Dietetics and Nutrition, • Licensure: Active and unrestricted Registered Dietitian (RD) license in the state of Louisiana., • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in clinical nutrition or a related field., • Skills:, • Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and dietary management., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Proficiency in EHR systems and nutritional analysis software., • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team., • Full-time position with a standard workweek., • Some evening or weekend hours may be required to accommodate patient needs., • Competitive salary based on experience., • Comprehensive health benefits package., • Paid time off and holidays., • Professional development opportunities.
