Job Description Interior Designer / Procurement Specialist Kane Remodeling | Austin, TX Full-Time | On-Site Position Compensation • $65,000 Base Salary, • 1% Commission on Designed Project Gross Value, • Medical & Dental Benefits (after 6 months), • 401(k) with Company Match (after 6 months), • Long-term growth opportunity within a rapidly expanding design-build firm Who we are Kane Remodeling is a fast-growing design-build remodeling firm based in Austin, Texas, specializing in high-end kitchens, bathrooms, and full interior renovations. Unlike traditional contractors, our projects are driven by in-house design leadership, allowing us to guide clients from initial concept through construction and final installation under one roof. As our company continues to scale, we are seeking a highly detail-oriented Interior Designer / Procurement Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and takes pride in creating exceptional, buildable designs. This is a full-time, onsite role working directly with ownership, project management, and construction teams. Who you are The ideal candidate for this position is a talented design/build professional with master-level material and color selections skills, design flare, and the real world technical knowledge to take projects from concept to construction. You understand that what ends up on Instagram or glossy magazine pages is only half the story, the rest requires practical, buildable, and executable know-how. Your role is to combine creative interior design with real-world construction coordination and procurement support. You’re a natural listener and find it easy to collaborate with others to bring projects to fruition. In this role, you will support the design director in every phase of design, from SD to CD and CA, as well as assist in material procurement and order tracking throughout multiple active projects. As a full-time onsite showroom team member, you take pride in your appearance and enjoy meeting and talking to people. Key Responsibilities Interior Design & Client Development • Support design director in all phases of design and documentation., • Coordinate FF&E interior finishes, materials, colors, textiles, casegoods, and fixtures., • Produce professional storyboards and client presentation packages., • Translate 3D models and renderings to technical drawings., • Maintain design continuity across multiple active projects simultaneously., • Draft complete construction drawing sets using CAD and/or Revit., • Translate building codes (IRC, IECC, IWUIC etc) into plans suitable for permitting, coordination, and construction., • Develop kitchen and bath layouts using ProKitchen and/or 20/20., • Assist with ordering materials, finishes, fixtures, and cabinetry., • Track orders, lead times, and deliveries., • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers., • Support project teams in maintaining procurement schedules. Required Qualifications • BA Interior Design or Interior Architecture degree or 2-year program, • Minimum 5 years verifiable experience at any of the following, or mix thereof:, • Interior Design Firm, • Architecture Studio, • Design-Build Company, • Major Kitchen & Bath Showroom, • 5+ years of experience producing construction plans using CAD and/or Revit, • 2–3 years minimum experience using ProKitchen and/or 20/20, • Master-level interior finishes, materials, and product specifications skills, • Procurement and purchasing coordination experience, • Proficiency in SketchUp for quick 3D visualizations and renderings, • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently, • Great listening and communication skills, • Exceptional organization and attention to detail, • Strong personable and presentation skills Preferred Qualifications • NKBA certification (Highly Preferred), • CID/NCIDQ certification, • LEED or WELL certification, • AIBD certification, • Technical building code knowledge: Muni City of Austin, IRC, IECC, NEC, IWUIC, • Residential remodeling or luxury interior experience, • Experience working directly with construction teams Who Will Thrive in This Role You may be a strong fit if you: • Care deeply about design quality and execution, • Enjoy seeing your designs actually built in the real world, • A good listener and team player, • A fast learner who thrives in fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments, • Takes ownership of projects from concept through completion, • Wants to grow with a rapidly scaling company in Austin’s remodeling market
