Job Description TEKsystems is urgently hiring a Medical Receptionist for one of the top healthcare networks on Long Island! This role will be based out of Smithtown, NY with some travel to local offices required Shift: Monday - Friday - hours between 8AM - 6PM Specialist: Internal Medicine/Cardiology Key Responsibilities • Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression., • Check patients in and out, verify insurance information, and collect required documentation., • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using electronic medical records (EMR) systems., • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and route messages professionally and promptly., • Process co‑pays, maintain patient records, and follow HIPAA guidelines., • High school diploma or equivalent required., • Prior medical office or customer service experience preferred., • Familiarity with EMR systems and basic medical terminology a plus., • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smithtown, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
