What You’ll Do As a Patient Access Advocate, you’ll: • Be the go-to expert for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers navigating manufacturer-sponsored programs., • Deliver advanced-level support, including:, • Claims submission, billing, and prior authorizations, • Reimbursement and benefit coordination, • Appeals and denials management, • Welcome calls, benefit verification, and alternate coverage research, • Serve as a regional expert on payer trends, spotting issues and helping escalate solutions., • Provide empathetic, timely, and accurate service that patients and providers can rely on., • Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to streamline processes and meet service level agreements (SLAs)., • Protect sensitive information with full compliance to privacy regulations., • High school diploma or GED required, • Broad training in relevant fields such as business administration, accounting, computer sciences, medical billing/coding, or customer service, • Completion of a two-year associate's degree program, technical vocational training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, • 4+ years of direct customer support experience in industries such as call centers, retail, or administrative services, with healthcare knowledge a plus, • A two-year degree may substitute for 2 years of experience, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external partners, • Advanced interpersonal and customer service skills, • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, • Solid mathematical and basic analytical skills, • Working knowledge of:, • Accounting principles (preferred), • Pharmacy operations (preferred), • Medical claims and terminology (preferred), • Familiarity with healthcare billing (preferred), • Familiarity with healthcare billing (preferred), • Acceptable use of medical industry vernacular, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word, • Work is performed remotely in a professional home office, • The noise level is consistent with a typical office setting, • Windows OS laptop or desktop only (no tablets or Apple products), • External mouse (required), • External keyboard (optional), • Minimum of two total screens (e.g., laptop screen + external monitor), • A chance to make a meaningful impact in healthcare, ensuring patients can access life-changing treatments., • Growth opportunities as you expand your expertise in healthcare access, reimbursement, and patient advocacy.
