Job Description Are you ready to join the mission and be part of the founding sales engineering team at Astris AI, a Lockheed Martin company, and shape how we bring defense-grade AI to market? , Astris AI is seeking a seasoned technical Sales Engineer with strong consultative selling expertise to partner with our sales organization, demonstrate the value of our AI Factory platform, and help customers accelerate their AI adoption rate. You’ll work closely with the Lockheed AI Center (LAIC), sales, product, engineering and post sales teams to translate technical capabilities into real-world business outcomes. This is a rare opportunity to join a Lockheed Martin-backed startup at the ground floor and directly influence how enterprises adopt secure AI at scale. What You’ll Be Doing • Build & Scale Pre-Sales Motion – Help define and implement repeatable pre-sales processes, demo environments, and technical collateral to enable the broader sales team., • Mentor & Lead – service as the founding team of sales engineers, mentoring future hires and helping shape the technical sales function as the team expands., • Lead Technical Sales Cycles – Conduct discovery calls, solution workshops, and proof of concept (PoC) engagements that address customer pain points and showcase Astris AI’s capabilities., • Consultative Selling – Act as a trusted advisor, guiding prospects through architecture design, ROI analysis, and deployment planning., • Demo & Presentation – Deliver compelling live demos, webinars, and technical presentations tailored to both technical and executive audiences., • Solution Design – Collaborate with customers to architect end‑to‑end AI solutions using Astris AI Factory components, data pipelines, and model‑deployment frameworks., • Technical Enablement – Create and maintain sales enablement assets (battle cards, whitepapers, demo scripts, video tutorials) that empower the broader sales team., • Customer Advocacy – Capture feedback, identify product gaps, and partner with product management to influence the roadmap., • Deal Support – Assist with RFP/RFI responses, technical proposals, and contract negotiations to ensure accurate and competitive solutions., • Flexible Work Model – Fully remote work with compressed week schedule: 4 x 10-hour days, no meeting Fridays., • Competitive Compensation – Competitive base salary plus performance‑based bonus and potential equity participation., • Comprehensive Benefits – Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, parental leave, paid time off, and more., • Professional Growth – Access to continuous learning and collaboration with Lockheed Martin’s AI thought leaders., • Seasoned Sales Engineer with 5+ years of experience selling complex, enterprise‑grade technology solutions., • Proven track record of consultative selling—understanding business objectives, crafting tailored solutions, and closing high‑value deals., • Strong technical foundation in AI/ML, Generative AI, data engineering, and open-source API‑centric architectures., • Excellent communicator—able to translate technical concepts into clear business value for C‑suite and technical stakeholders alike., • Self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment and can manage multiple PoCs simultaneously. Requirement Details Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent experience. Experience 5+ years in technical sales, solutions engineering, or pre‑sales consulting for enterprise software/AI solutions. Technical Skills Hands‑on experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), cloud services, RAG frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex), fine-tuning of LLMs, and vector databases. Consultative Selling Demonstrated ability to lead discovery, solution design, and PoC execution with enterprise customers. Communication Strong presentation, writing, and storytelling abilities for both technical and executive audiences. Travel Up to 25 % travel (customer sites, industry events). Desired Skills • Astris AI Factory Experience – Direct experience building or integrating solutions on the Astris AI Factory platform is a strong plus., • Industry Knowledge – Experience in verticals such as aerospace, defense, healthcare, or finance where AI adoption is accelerating., • Certifications – AWS/Azure/GCP Solutions Architect, Cloud AI/ML certifications, or relevant sales certifications (e.g., Certified Technical Sales Professional)., • MLOps & CI/CD – Familiarity with model‑deployment pipelines, containerization (Kubernetes/Docker), and monitoring tools., • Strategic Planning – Ability to develop multi‑year technical roadmaps and adoption strategies for large enterprises.
