We’re hiring a Metal Fabrication Operator for our client—a manufacturer of stamped, fabricated, finished, wired, and assembled metal components for select industry partners.This is a hands-on position operating computer-controlled punch and/or laser machines to produce flat blanks for additional manufacturing operations—or parts sold as finished flat components.Responsibilities:You’ll be responsible for producing high-quality parts safely, accurately, and efficiently:, • Read production paperwork to determine job requirements, quantities, and specifications, • Load the correct program into the machine control to run the correct parts and quantities, • Perform basic setups using prewritten programs, • Verify material supplied meets production requirements before processing, • Remove cut pieces from sheet and inspect for punching/laser defects including edge quality and surface scratches/nonconformities, • Measure and inspect parts to ensure they meet print specifications using Calipers, Micrometers and Height gauges, • Read blueprints to determine critical characteristics to monitor, • Complete production paperwork including Quality documentation, Timekeeping records and In-Process and Final Audit reports, • Correctly fill out part tags for Identification & Traceability, • Place HOLD tags on suspect product (Nonconforming Material Control), • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area following 6S standards, • Assist the Cell Leader with Continuous Improvement ideas Qualifications and Requirements:, • High School Diploma or equivalent, • 1-2 years experience with metal fabrication operating a laser/press machine within a manufacturing setting, • Comfortable reading production paperwork and blueprints, • Skilled with precision measuring tools and inspection techniques, • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow quality procedures, • Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work as part of a team, • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Benefits and Perks, • Eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and vision insurance, • Weekly pay periods, • 401k matching up to 5%Your New Organization:A manufacturer of stamped, fabricated, finished, wired and assembled metal for select industry partners. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role.
