Job DescriptionTitle: Cloud Security Engineer Risk Reduction Location: Brooklyn Park, MN | Hybrid onsite 2 days per week Job Type: Contract (12 months) Compensation: $67.00 - $112.00 per hour Industry: Retail About the Role We are partnering with a large, enterprise-scale organization in the retail and digital commerce industry that operates a highly complex, multil-cloud environment supporting critical business systems at scale. Our clientis seeking a Cloud Security Engineer Risk Reduction to lead remediation efforts across public cloud platforms, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role is centered on reducing risk, remediating existing cloud security issues, and preventing future exposure through automation and infrastructure-as-code. Job Description The Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for driving remediation of prioritized security findings across large-scale cloud environments, including GCP, Azure, and AWS. This role works at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, networking, automation, and security, partnering closely with infrastructure and engineering teams to deliver scalable, long?term risk reduction. Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute remediation plans for high-priority security issues across GCP, Azure, and AWS environments, • Update and maintain Terraform repositories and automation scripts to remediate issues consistently across multiple cloud projects, • Coordinate with engineering and infrastructure teams to rotate and properly manage misconfigured or exposed cloud secrets, • Identify and address root causes of security issues to prevent recurrence in future deployments, • Validate that remediation actions have been successfully implemented, either directly or through partner teams, • 5+ years of experience writing automation pipelines and/or scripts specifically for Google Cloud Platform (GCP), • 3+ years of experience writing production grade Terraform in complex environments (e.g., 100+ GCP projects), • 5+ years of overall cloud engineering experience, with a 4?year degree or equivalent practical experience, • Strong proficiency in cloud engineering, traditional infrastructure, and automation (Infrastructure-as-Code, scripting, CI/CD), • Proficiency with on-prem and cloud networking, including software-defined networking (SDN), • Strong understanding of core infrastructure components across on-prem and cloud environments, including compute, storage, databases, IAM, and networking, • Proven ability to troubleshoot and remediate complex technical issues with minimal supervision, • Experience navigating large, enterprise cloud architectures and code repositories, • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within Agile teams, • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with evolving cloud and security technologies Preferred Qualifications, • Experience supporting Azure and/or AWS environments, • Familiarity with GitHub and/or Atlantis, • Prior experience focused specifically on cloud security initiatives #IT.Indeed #ZR Company DescriptionOur promise is simple.
