Job Description Armed Security Officer ( Possession of a NCPPSB Armed Secuirty Registration is Required) Location: Various sites Schedule: PRN / As-Needed | Primarily Weekends Employment Type: Part-Time / PRN Pay: Competitive, based on experience and certification Job Summary We are seeking professional, dependable Armed Security Officers to work PRN weekend assignments at client sites. This role is ideal for experienced officers who value flexibility while maintaining a high standard of professionalism, situational awareness, and sound judgment. Armed officers serve as a visible deterrent, provide a calm security presence, and respond appropriately to incidents—always prioritizing de-escalation, safety, and lawful conduct. Responsibilities • Provide armed security coverage at assigned client locations, • Maintain a visible, professional presence to deter criminal or unsafe behavior, • Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols as required by post orders, • Monitor property, people, and activity for safety or policy violations, • Respond to incidents calmly and professionally, emphasizing de-escalation, • Enforce site rules and client policies within the scope of training and authority, • Accurately document incidents, observations, and activities in written reports, • Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and local law enforcement when necessary, • Valid North Carolina Armed Security Guard Registration (PPSB) (REQUIRED If not already in possession, you are not eligible for this postion), • Valid Concealed Carry Permit (preferred), • Minimum 21 years of age, • High school diploma or GED, • Reliable transportation, • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, • Strong communication and decision-making skills, • Prior armed security, law enforcement, military, or public safety experience, • Experience working events, commercial properties, or access-controlled facilities, • Competitive PRN pay, • Flexible weekend scheduling, • Clear post orders and expectations, • Supportive leadership and professional standards We believe armed security is about judgment, restraint, and responsibility—not force.
