Role Overview We are seeking a detail‐oriented, empathetic Adaptive Aid Specialist to join our San Antonio team. In this role, you’ll help coordinate adaptive aids and minor home modifications that enrich our clients’ daily lives. Key Responsibilities • Manage incoming and outgoing calls regarding adaptive aids and home modifications., • Oversee procurement processes, including collecting bids and evaluations., • Prepare accurate documentation, correspondence, files, and reports., • Ensure timely delivery and pickup of essential documentation., • Maintain complete and up‐to‐date medical records., • Communicate and follow up with Case Management Agencies., • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations., • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times., • Support additional team and client needs as assigned. ️ Qualifications • High school diploma or GED required., • Minimum 2 years of clerical experience in an administrative setting., • Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred., • Familiarity with adaptive aids and home modifications a plus., • Proficient in MS Word and Excel; ability to learn agency software., • Typing speed: 35 wpm at 80% accuracy; Excel proficiency at 80%., • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto liability insurance required., • CLASS and DBMD training provided by DSSW. DSSW's programs are designed to assist persons with disabilities in achieving the greatest degree of independence possible within their community. The evaluation process by a nurse and the interview process by a program director and your independent case manager assure that an individual's needs are identified so that they can be met by the services available in each program.
