Overview The RN Manager, Perioperative Services - Evenings has leadership accountability for planning, facilitating and monitoring the evening activities and functions of the Operating Room, Pre-Op, PACU, and Sterile Processing Departments. Responsible for planning, organizing, delegating, coordinating staff utilization, budgeting, and marketing perioperative services in collaboration with OR, SPD, and Pre-Op/PACU leadership. Directly supervises nursing care and all related activities of the perioperative areas. Develops and fosters internal and external physician relationships in order to provide surgical services to the community. Continually develops process improvement plans to ensure efficient patient throughput and staff workflows. Is responsible for leading staff to ensure organizational goals and objectives are met through comprehensive support provided in perioperative services. Manages and supervises functions of assigned direct and non-direct patient care areas on a 24-hour basis in collaboration with OR, SPD, and Pre-Op/PACU nurse managers; ensures effective delivery of clinical patient care and compliance with administrative, quality and clinical policies and procedures. Accountable to ensure perioperative services readiness for state, federal, and local surveys and accreditations. Scope of services include the preprocessing/distribution, decontamination process and sterile processing to be in compliance with DNV, DHS, OSHA, AAMI and AORN standards. Manages the loaner equipment processes to ensure compliance with organizational policies. Provides support to clinical departments for equipment and instrumentation to support patient safety, infection prevention policies and department operations in alignment with the organization priorities. Overview Position Highlights: NT4 Ortho-Urology Surgical Unit • Number of beds on unit: 41, • Patient population (age, diagnosis, specifics about unit): NT4 is 41- bed unit specializing in the care of acute ortho and urology surgical patients. We are DNV certified for our hip and knee replacement surgeries. Surgical patients on this unit includes limb trauma patients, as well low acuity medical patients. Primary Purpose of Position The primary purpose of this position is to train and prepare to perform the duties of an Operations Shift Supervisor who holds a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO)License. Upon completion of training the candidate will be fully licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to supervise the licensed activities of licensed reactor operators in the reactor control room. Responsibilities • Greets guests in a positive, friendly manner, making them feel welcome., • Guide guests through all phases of their experience at our venue., • Exhibit proper knowledge, service techniques and delivery of Food and Beverage offerings., • Describe Food and Beverage features on a daily basis., • Provide top notch service to multiple tables at a time, • Work alongside bussers in clearing and re-setting tables., • Work with a sense of urgency at all times to provide anticipatory service which anticipates the guests’ needs and appreciates the fine details of service., • Communicate with management regarding all customer needs comments or incidents., • Follow all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division and Health Department following all health and safety regulations., • Perform all opening and closing duties as assigned Other Functions • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor., • Complying with health and food safety standards, restocking items, cleaning,, • Provide great customer service, company policies & procedures, • Be a positive, upbeat, and personable person at all times while working, • Be able to stay calm and collected in what could sometimes be a stressful environment, • Take on other responsibilities as assigned by Management Physical Functions • Ability to stand/walk a minimum of 8 hours or as needed., • Must be able to exert well-paced and frequent mobility for periods of up to 8 hours or as needed., • Be able to lift and carry multiple items ie: heavy plates and tray of drinks, • Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data., • Work in both warm and cool environments, • High levels of noise from music, customer and employee traffic., • Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish. Qualifications/Requirements • At least 21 years old, • Have a minimum of 2 years serving experience, • Ability to work quickly while maintaining safety standards and procedures, • Ability to work daytime and nighttime shifts that may last into the later hours of the night, • Weekend availability is necessary, • Ability to work consistent schedule at least 4 days per week, • Does high-quality work while unsupervised, • Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food when necessary, • Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed, • Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system, • Able to work in a busy restaurant environment, • Minimum 2-3 years of high-volume serving experience, • Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time, • Ability to provide top notch customer service in a fast-paced environment, • A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with all restaurant staff Certifications Basset Certification Food Handlers Certification Compensation Details: Hourly Rate: $12.96/hr (Chicago tipped minimum wage). Tips: Servers also receive tips from guests. While tip amounts may vary, the average Server at this location earns between $40-50/hour total. (Base hourly rate + tips).
