ICON Electric is hiring an Electrical VDC / BIM Coordinator to help drive how our projects are planned, coordinated, and executed in the field. We are investing in VDC, prefabrication, and planning to improve execution—and this role is at the center of that effort. You will work directly with Project Managers and Foremen to solve real installation challenges, especially in underground (UG) and early-phase work, before they become costly field issues. This is not a drafting-only role. This is a field-impact position focused on improving how projects get built. What You'll Do • Build and maintain detailed electrical BIM models using Revit and Evolve MEP, • Develop installation-ready drawings including layout, shop, prefab, and spooling packages, • Support UG layout, routing, and stub-up planning to reduce field errors and rework, • Assist with layout points and coordination for total station / field layout, • Identify and resolve clashes and coordination issues across trades before installation, • Participate in and contribute to coordination and pull planning meetings, • Partner directly with Project Managers and Foremen to align on installation approach and sequencing, • Update models and drawings based on field input, RFIs, and evolving project conditions, • Track, manage, and help resolve coordination issues and model revisions, • Identify and drive prefabrication opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce labor in the field, • Review drawings and models for accuracy, constructability, and completeness, • Ensure deliverables are clear, organized, and usable by field teams, • 3+ years of experience in electrical BIM, VDC, or coordination, • Strong proficiency in Revit; experience with Evolve MEP preferred, • Experience supporting commercial and/or industrial electrical construction projects, • Solid understanding of electrical systems, installation methods, and sequencing, • Knowledge of constructability and how drawings translate to field execution, • Experience with clash detection and multi-trade coordination, • Exposure to underground (UG) layout and early-phase planning is highly preferred, • Experience creating installation-ready drawings for field use, • Familiarity with tools such as Navisworks, Bluebeam, and related coordination platforms, • Ability to work directly with PMs, Foremen, and field teams in a collaborative environment, • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable plans, • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and changes ICON Electric is one of the largest and fastest-growing electrical contractors in the Phoenix market, delivering complex commercial and industrial projects across the region.
