The Vendor Account Specialist supports the performance and growth of assigned vendor partnerships and product categories. This role is responsible for executing day-to-day vendor management activities, supporting assortment and SKU decisions, and helping maintain a productive, competitive catalog. Working closely with Vendor Account Managers and cross-functional teams, the Vendor Account Specialist helps identify assortment gaps, support new product introductions, monitor product performance, and maintain strong vendor relationships. This role contributes to revenue growth, inventory productivity, and overall category health through strong organization, communication, and analytical skills. The Vendor Account Specialist partners with Marketing, Content, Operations, Purchasing, Pricing, and Product Onboarding to ensure products are launched accurately, represented effectively, and maintained throughout their lifecycle. Here are the specifics: Vendor & Supplier Management • Support day-to-day communication and relationship management with assigned vendor partners, • Assist in evaluating vendor performance using sales, fulfillment, inventory, and profitability metrics, • Help identify opportunities to expand existing vendor partnerships, improve performance, or address issues, • Participate in vendor business reviews and help prepare supporting data and materials, • Support the onboarding of new vendors, brands, and product lines, • Maintain regular communication with vendors regarding product updates, availability, pricing, and assortment changes, • Help identify opportunities for exclusive products, new lines, or expanded assortments, • Monitor assigned SKUs throughout their lifecycle, from onboarding through discontinuation, • Review SKU-level sales, margin, and demand performance to identify opportunities and concerns, • Support SKU rationalization efforts by identifying underperforming, redundant, or low-value products, • Coordinate with Product Onboarding, Content, and Operations teams to ensure successful product launches, • Help monitor inventory health, excess stock, declining demand, and other product lifecycle risks, • Support the management of discontinued products and help ensure clean catalog maintenance, • Partner with Marketing, Content, Operations, Demand Planning, and Pricing teams to ensure aligned execution of product and vendor strategies, • Work with Content teams to ensure product information, attributes, and merchandising details are accurate and complete, • Support Marketing initiatives by helping coordinate product launches, promotions, and vendor opportunities, • Assist Demand Planning and Purchasing teams by sharing vendor updates, inventory concerns, and assortment changes, • Provide supporting information and competitive context to Pricing teams as needed, • Coordinate with Operations to ensure vendor capabilities align with fulfillment and inventory requirements, • Leverage internal data systems and analytics to inform decisions related to assortment, vendor performance, and SKU strategy, • Monitor key metrics including sales trends, inventory health, SKU productivity, and vendor performance, • Prepare reports, presentations, and supporting analysis for vendor reviews and internal meetings, • Use customer behavior, search trends, and sales patterns to help guide product and assortment recommendations, • Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance, • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols, • Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow through on commitments, • Embrace and live out Speedway Motors core values, • Adapt to changing priorities anddemonstrateflexibility in a dynamic work setting, • Seek opportunities for continuous improvement and professional growth, • Perform other duties as assigned This posting will close when filled.
