Located in Peoria (zip code 61605), this Illinois healthcare job offers the perfect blend of urban amenities and Midwestern hospitality along the scenic Illinois River. \n\nEstimated Weekly Salary\n\n\n\t • Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1990 - $2130\n\n\nICU Registered Nurse Job Details\n\n\n\t, • Location: Peoria, IL 61605 (Central Illinois healthcare jobs)\n\t, • Setting: High Acuity Intensive Care Unit (8 beds)\n\t, • Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/8/2025 – End: 3/9/2026)\n\t, • Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm – 7:00am), rotating weekends and holidays\n\t, • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week\n\t, • Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) position\n\t, • Charting System: Epic EMR\n\t, • Dress Code: Scrubs (any color); OSF-approved t-shirts permitted\n\n\nICU RN Qualifications\n\n\n\t, • Active Illinois RN license (or proof of application in process)\n\t, • Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience required\n\t, • BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)\n\t, • Experience with PEG tube care/feedings, CVC/PICC/Midline usage and care, and tracheostomy patient care\n\t, • Proficient in managing sedated and ventilated patients, titrating vasopressors, sedation, and pain control drips\n\t, • Ability to interpret telemetry strips; experience with Phillips telemetry monitors is a plus\n\n\nICU Nurse Responsibilities\n\n\n\t, • Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit\n\t, • Manage and titrate a variety of IV drips, including Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, Versed, Lasix, Insulin, Amiodarone, Nitro, Levophed, Dopamine, Cardizem, and more\n\t, • Perform PEG tube care/feedings, manage central lines, and provide tracheostomy care\n\t, • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including respiratory therapists and tele-health physicians\n\t, • Float to the Medical-Surgical unit as needed\n\t, • Participate in a rotating schedule for weekends and holidays\n\t professionals and the facilities that need them nationwide.
