Job DescriptionMaintenance Technician II – Mechanical & Robotics-$32.50/hr Job Description This role supports the Operations Maintenance team by installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging, distribution, and material handling equipment, including pneumatic systems. You will diagnose and resolve issues in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, and help ensure that automated conveyor and robotics systems operate safely and efficiently in a high-volume warehouse environment. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, including conveyors and other material handling systems., • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime and maintain smooth operations., • Perform quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures on material handling equipment and automated conveyor systems., • Use blueprints and electrical schematics to diagnose equipment issues and guide repairs., • Apply electrical and electronic principles to identify faults and implement effective solutions., • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics on material handling equipment systems, including controls and robotics., • Follow and demonstrate safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines and internal safety procedures., • Create and complete work orders, documenting maintenance activities and repairs accurately., • Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), where applicable, to track maintenance tasks and equipment history., • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and maintenance processes., • Assist with troubleshooting basic input and output functions of building operations systems., • Collaborate with operations and maintenance team members in a large warehouse environment to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks., • Utilize Microsoft Office applications to communicate, record data, and report maintenance findings. Essential Skills • At least 2+ years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures., • 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls., • 2+ years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics., • 2+ years of knowledge and hands-on experience with electrical and electronic principles., • 2+ years of experience following and demonstrating safety standards in an industrial or warehouse environment., • 1+ year of experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment systems., • 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Office products and applications., • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems., • Experience with automated conveyor systems and material handling equipment., • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial environments performing maintenance on complex systems and industrial equipment., • Hands-on experience running diagnostics, performing inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, and creating work orders for industrial equipment., • Specific experience with conveyors and other material handling equipment, including controls and robotics., • Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions of building operations systems., • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)., • Continuous improvement mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow within a reliability and maintenance engineering environment., • Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and internal safety standards., • Associate degree or higher from a vocational school or college with a focus in the mechanical or electrical field., • 2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the mechanical or electrical field., • 2+ years of experience working with PLC-based control systems., • Experience with robotic operation and maintenance., • Comfort working in a warehouse environment with a large maintenance and operations team. Work Environment You will work in a large, modern warehouse environment as part of a team of approximately 50–70 people. The facility operates multiple shifts, providing various scheduling options. The role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting automated conveyor systems, material handling equipment, and robotics, using tools and technologies such as PLC-based control systems, pneumatic components, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). The environment is industrial and fast-paced, with a strong emphasis on safety and adherence to OEM and internal safety standards. Typical attire includes practical work clothing such as jeans, and steel-toe footwear is preferred to support safe work around heavy equipment and machinery. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Irving, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr.
