You will operate and monitor a variety of processing equipment, perform blending and mixing activities, and ensure safe, compliant, and efficient production. The position requires strong attention to detail, accurate documentation, and effective communication across shifts to maintain consistent product quality and operational excellence. Responsibilities • Prepare and verify all utility systems, including hot water units and heat exchangers, to ensure equipment is ready for safe and efficient operation., • Operate production equipment such as reactors, kettles, mixers, pumps, filtration systems, forklifts, and supporting utilities in accordance with established operating procedures., • Handle material movement by loading, unloading, staging, and packaging products while completing all required documentation accurately and on time., • Monitor and track process conditions, record operational data in real time, and promptly report any unusual trends or deviations., • Run systems such as extruders, packaging equipment, wastewater treatment units, and boilers while consistently meeting safety, quality, and performance expectations., • Participate in shift change updates and daily production meetings to support seamless workflow and effective communication between teams., • Calibrate equipment and instruments according to established gauge and measurement standards to maintain accuracy and reliability., • Enter inventory movements and material transactions into the ERP system with a high degree of accuracy and completeness., • Use approved checklists to complete equipment changeovers, line clearances, sanitation tasks, and verification steps., • Confirm raw material details, including identity, lot numbers, and quantities, before staging materials for production use., • Utilize digital tools and resources to support on-the-job learning, troubleshooting, and task execution., • Seek clarification when needed to ensure full understanding of tasks and to minimize operational risk., • Communicate effectively with supervisors, support teams, and leadership to address concerns related to safety, quality, or production flow., • Complete all mandatory training, certifications, and assessments within required timeframes., • Follow environmental, health, safety, and quality guidelines to maintain a compliant, hazard-free, and clean work environment., • Maintain clean, organized work areas in alignment with housekeeping standards and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) expectations., • Offer constructive feedback to peers to support continuous improvement, strengthen team performance, and drive operational excellence., • Demonstrate leadership on the production floor by modeling safe work practices, supporting teammates, and helping to coordinate daily activities as needed. Essential Skills • At least 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment, specifically within chemical manufacturing., • Hands-on blending and mixing experience in food, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing., • Forklift operating experience and comfort with material handling in a production setting., • Ability and willingness to stand for the entire shift as required by production operations., • Ability to work in a non–temperature-controlled facility and perform duties in varying environmental conditions., • Commitment to wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and following safety protocols., • Experience with chemical operations, chemical mixing, and batch making in a production environment., • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate batch records and production documentation., • Capability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with manufacturing operations., • Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor process conditions and record operational data accurately., • Effective communication skills to interact with supervisors, support teams, and peers. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with compounding, blending, and batch mixing in chemical, food, pharmaceutical, or fragrance manufacturing., • Familiarity with filtration systems, extruders, packaging equipment, wastewater treatment units, and boilers., • Experience working under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) expectations and with batch record documentation., • Exposure to FDA-regulated environments or similar quality and compliance frameworks., • Comfort using ERP systems for recording inventory movements and material transactions., • Experience in machine operation and chemical handling within a production setting., • Ability to use digital tools and resources to support on-the-job learning and task execution., • Strong teamwork mindset, including the ability to provide constructive feedback and support continuous improvement., • Willingness to complete required training and certifications and to adapt to evolving procedures and standards. Work Environment This role is based in a production and cleanroom environment in Blue Ash, OH, operating on a Monday through Friday schedule. Multiple shifts are available, including 1st shift (7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.), and 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.), with a 3-month contract-to-hire structure. You will work in a non–temperature-controlled facility and should be comfortable standing for the full shift and performing heavy lifting as needed. The work involves operating reactors, kettles, mixers, pumps, filtration systems, extruders, packaging equipment, wastewater treatment units, boilers, and forklifts, as well as using ERP and digital tools for documentation and inventory management. A clean, organized, and safety-focused environment is maintained through adherence to environmental, health, safety, and quality guidelines, as well as housekeeping and GMP standards. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times in accordance with site policies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blue Ash, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
