MnDOT may fill multiple temporary and/or emergency snowplow operator positions. During a snow & ice season employees are typically split into an A or B shift, 12:00am - 12:00 pm (A shift) or 12:00pm - 12:00am (B shift); an employee may be asked to work 8-hours of work or more depending on the length of the snow event. Temporary employees have a schedule and may work two (2) to five (5) days Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm or a snow and ice shift on Saturday and Sunday. Emergency employees are intermittent fill in drivers; they work a snow and ice shift and fill in for regular operators who are not available. Hours may include overtime or various shifts depending on emergency situations and will include working nights, weekends and holidays. Incumbents must have immediate access to a phone and be able to report to work within one-hour of being called. It is the store manager’s duty to ensure every team member knows and understands our product assortment and how to outfit our customers appropriately. Every store manager is the energy creator in each of our stores and should infuse that throughout the team. Completes store operational requirements by handling appropriate scheduling needs Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training team members Perform in store as a coach and example to fellow team members Achieve personal and store sales goals Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and planograms Styles short videos and images for social media with team (minimum of 3 per week) Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment Discovers new ways of promoting the store (ie attending expos, college fairs, pop ups) Leads in store operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program procedures rolled out through store owners Works alongside leadership to ensure proper review procedures are accomplished in store Leads team in achieving sales goals and reports data appropriately to leadership Participates in consistent leadership training and coaching calls to foster a growing community in store Qualifications and Skills Strong customer service skills Superior management skills High level of flexibility Ability to adapt to different customers Great written and verbal communication skills Natural talent for motivating and developing teams #hc161017
