Job Summary: Mercury Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and improve manufacturing processes and systems to ensure the efficient and cost-effective production of defense and aerospace products. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, production personnel, and quality assurance, to optimize manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your technical expertise will play a critical role in the development and delivery of high quality, reliable, and technologically advanced products that meet stringent industry and customer standards. Job Responsibilities: \n • Design and develop manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions to meet product specifications and quality standards\n, • Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety\n, • Evaluate manufacturing equipment and technologies; recommend suitable options and oversee integration into production lines\n, • Ensure equipment meets industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements\n, • Lead and participate in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives\n, • Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to reduce costs, eliminate waste, and improve quality\n, • Collaborate with the quality team to establish and maintain quality control procedures, including inspection and testing methods\n, • Resolve production-related quality issues and implement preventive measures to ensure compliance with specifications\n, • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely availability of materials, components, and equipment\n, • Evaluate supplier capabilities and performance to support production schedules and quality requirements\n, • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including process specifications, standard operating procedures, and engineering change orders\n, • Generate reports on key performance indicators, production metrics, and improvement initiatives.\n, • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards\n, • Identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks and promote a safe working environment\n\n Required Qualifications: \n • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial Engineering, mechanical Engineering, or a related field\n, • Typically requires a minimum of 2-4 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the defense or aerospace industry\n, • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies, including CNC machining, additive manufacturing, assembly, and testing\n, • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as AS9100, ITAR, and NADCAP\n, • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for process development and optimization\n, • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies\n, • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data\n, • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines\n\n Preferred Qualifications: \n • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification\n, • Experience with FactoryLogix\n, • Hands on experience with server assembly\n\n "This position requires you to access information that is subject to U.S. export regulations. Job Details Fulltime Equivalent Job Grade Range for this Position:• $65,200.00 - $130,400.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD or TX, and all remote employees • $73,000.00 - $146,000.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH or MA, • $76,900.00 - $153,900.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in NJ #LI-RJ1 Why should you join Mercury Systems?
